    Hi Ann Marie 💖 Thank you for this beautiful conscious movement masterpiece! It's become part of my regular wellness practice. At least twice per week. Your energy is inspiring! Consider it liked 100 times more ... for every time I've danced it since discovering it last year. Gratitude and blessings 🙏

    Hi Ann Marie, I just stumbled across this Nia class and enjoyed it so much! I'm curious if you are currently teaching Nia or dance in an online format? I'd love to take more of your classes. Thank you!

    I really enjoyed this. I have CFS/ME and find it difficult to find excersize that's suitable for me. I love yoga but sometimes crave more dance-like movement. This was a great fit for I what I need. The mic wasn't to great, maybe just a glitch on this video. I also wasn't keen on you facing away from the camera, I was watching your back your the whole time as I found it difficult to watch you in the mirror. I just make these points as something you can maybe consider. Overall I really liked this class 💜

    Hi! Thanks for leaving a comment and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. This was the very first video we did to tet ro stay active with classes during covid, and I sure did need to learn more about the mic! In Nia classes, the instructor faves the same direction as the students, which makes it easier to mirror movements. It also means you don't have someone watching you while you have your experience of the dance. I hear you, that it's not the norm, and maybe not your preference. 😊 Take care!

    What's the name of this routine?

    Hi Glenda, I created the routine and don't name my classes in the traditional Nia way. Every class I teach is different. :)

    IF you are new to my style of teaching or if you are unfamiliar with this style of yoga, please watch the video through once to familiarize yourself with the poses before you practice. PLEASE UNDERSTAND that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. If you experience any pain or discomfort, listen to your body, and adjust the posture. Continue to breathe smoothly. Come out of the pose if required. Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions. Please consult your physician &/or health care practitioner prior to beginning any new exercise program. I look forward to practicing with you!

    I dont get it. Where are the five stages?

  • @CityofCourtenayBC
    @CityofCourtenayBC2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Patty, The Nia 5 Stages is an integrative movement practice based on five developmental moves: embryonic, creeping, crawling, standing and walking.

  • @annmarie1577
    @annmarie1577 Жыл бұрын

    Hi Patty, If you are referring to the sequemce of 5 movements that Nia calss the 5 syages of healinf,stages that Nia uses, they aren't always part of a class. Other practices, such as Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen's classes, call them the 5 developmental stages. They arent always a part of a Nia class, as they are not a requirement, but an additional offering. They can be included when it fits. It didn't fit for me to do that sequence for this routine. 🙂

    This was the first time I tried yoga Nia, but definitely not my last time. It was wonderful! And at the end the part with the blanket - I have no words. I just cried through that song, cried because of the emotions that have come up. Thank you!

    I loved this! I have Hashimotos and have had a hard time finding workouts that I can do. However, though this was challenging, I actually found myself laughing during the workout because it was so much fun. I only lasted 17 mins., but I plan to continue doing this daily until I can complete the whole thing. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all!

    Wow! How lovely to know that you've had a great time, and enjoyed yourself. 😊 A family member of mine has Hashimotos, so I know how challenging that can be for energy levels. So glad you took care of yourself and knew when to pause. And hey - laughter is the best medicine, so sounds like you got a good dose. I do have a few other videos on youtube, which you can see at kzread.info/dron/Qe0dnN64d3Vzw2v7cs6RiA.html. Take care!💫

    Yes, it was our first ever video to make! We had such a learning curve to ride. 😆 Definitely improved over time, and was glad we had the time needed to learn the editing tech required to make things sound better. The better sounding ones are available at www.embodiedbeing.ca under the Dance tab. 👍⭐

    That would be just that many more people homeless in Courtney if not for Armando and as well as Armand, both slumlords, who've continue to operate for the last 30 years because they have lots of money! if they've been running that long the corruption goes way past the slumlords
