Hearts and bones is the best song Paul ever wrote, the real killer lyric is “she says why can’t you love me for who I am where I am baby, he said cause that’s not the way the world is baby, this is how I love you baby” - foreboding as it was written well before they broke up

Not just one of the most powerful songs he ever wrote, but one of the most accessible. Musically, I am in awe of the way he layered guitars, up to and including a big bass guitarron, on top of a phenonmenal rythym. Oh, and then stuff on top, or behind that. If you listen to it and unpick it, this is an apparently simple track that is anything but. Which is a reflection of how good he is as a songwriter and musician. Oh, and +1 on Carrie Fisher's comment.
