is it possible to still see out of the visor with the same visibility as you showed in the video, but with the visor being blacked out from the outside?

This should never be your only lock. Takes 30 seconds to smash off with a hammer, easy to cut, thieves are so brazen the alarm is only minor deterrent… get a ratchet strap and a bag for the back.

I guess there's an argument for using one at night , but I ride with a tinted visor all the time , I just flip it up in very dark conditions as my bike has a high screen anyway 👍

Another + on this lock is that the shackle is big enough to fit it on a big chain. If someone tries to mess with the chain, the alarm goes off. 💪🏻 I got the Kryptonite Fahgetaboudit 1415 and the Abus Granit Power Chain 37 14KS black loop.

Bull, When it is hot it does little if anything to keep you cool. How would 95 degree air do that? My leather is just as good if not better. When it is hot it is hot no matter what you do.

There's this thing humans do that's called sweating that helps maintain body temperature. Fresh air is necessary for this process to work.

You should still put a high quality motorcycle cover over your bike even if you have chains or locks with or without alarms cause at least they can't see anything at first and they might just keep it moving cause it's not as easy since they can't see it. I put a big huge quilt over my motorcycle and then use the all seasons high quality motorcycle cover over top of that especially if i have it outside thru the winter. Don't make it easy for thieves And also use a tracker just in case is does happen.

If you're part of the biker scene, you'll eventually end up wearing another guy's dirty lid from time to time. It only sounds gross when you haven't done it. After your first time, wearing other bikers' helmet stink will be like putting on an old pair of sneaks. No big deal, and super comfortable.

there are people with highly illegal exhausts that sound like fireworks going off through my town and they speed through the town at over twice the speed limit burning rubber. The police don’t do a thing. a black visor here is like doing 1 mph over the limit the police don’t bother. I’ve warn a black visor years and Ive illegal exhausts. U.K. citizen.

Bent two disks first two months after buying my bile because i was lazy to put the reminder cable. Once the disk is slightly bent the front wheel will not turn freely and will make noise. Forget about fixing the disk once it's damaged.

How dumb do you have to be to ride off with the lock on? It is so expensive and putting it on is a lot of extra activity that you should remember it. Maybe I am overestimating average intelligence.

Another issue is you can cover those grills with your fingers to dampen the sound. Other than that looks like a solid piece but you do need more than one good deterrents

Exactly there is no difference in the tint. I've seen alot of bikers wearing dark smoked visors. I've gone past alot of police cars in my time when wearing a dark smoked visor and they don't do anything but I bet If they was to pull me over for other reasons it would be a problem.

RAM product are functioning well, but they are ugly as fk. I am not sure why RAM designers don't make something have both , function well and look good

It’s a more than decent alarm lock. All these people commenting that it would still get stolen if they want to... of course. It’s called a deterrent alarm , not preventive theft alarm. But it will give me time to arm myself and neutralize the thief. A couple of seconds is all I need.

Don’t understand how these mounts get hyped so much. I hate mine. As you can see at 0:46 in this video, the phone will rotate back and forth. I have mine mounted side ways so it is always tilted down due to the rotation that is unpreventable. You’d think for such an expensive mount, some engineer would have figured out how to prevent this wobble.

I have one of these locks ,but even when the key is inserted the correct way around I have to jiggle & struggle with the key to insert it fully & turn it .The Alarm is for me to hear ,the general public will take no notice of any alarm ,they are not going to risk struggling with the criminals over a strangers motorcycle & possibly getting stabbed .If anything the alarm going off is more likely to annoy people .Also a disc lock on its own will not prevent your bike or scooter being lifted into a criminal gangs van ,you should always lock it with a secure chain to a secure immovable object in a well illuminated area in plain view of CCTV cameras .This will only put off opportunist thieves ,if professional thieves target your bike they will get it one way or other .

I tested ram xgrip and stem mount on my GSXR. It does the job but ram xgrip is a poorly designed universal phone holder. It holds the phone in place but the stem mount is bad designed (you have to cut yourself the mounting insert to install it into the stem and it self destroys after the first turn of the nut...), does not lock in place and it touches the aluminum stem with the risk of scrathces. The x grip does its job but looks weak and woobly, the rubber holder looks like it is going to break only if you stare at it... I bought it and returned. Better consider other brands such as SP Connect or Quadlock.

I just got one of these for 140€ with the back protector (was 110 without it). Seemed like a really good prioce. Here where I live it regularly gets to 45ºC every summer, so it better ventilate really good, LOL. Thanks for the vid!

@@340rpsI am looking for this same thing as I live where it is over 100 degrees for three months during the day. I assume wearing a jacket will be warm in the summer when ridding but I tell ya I deal with the heat better than those that don’t live in it. The body does acclimate. On the flip side a cold summer day is around freezing and we all stay inside here as it’s too cold for us now. Lived in both warm and cold climates. I used to walk around in pants and a t at freezing. Now I stay inside

I had this, my phone fell off while going around 90-100mph. Highly suggest using the rubber. However, mine was badly placed and stuck out higher than then side mirrors

Pretty much all keys only go in or work one way! As for the arrows, you said how difficult it was and then demonstrated how easy it was lolol

Good review! One thing I had done to help with keys like that is putting a red sticker on one side. So I know if my right thumb is on that sticker, I know I am holding the key the right way. Prevents a little embarrassment!
