    I am still around! I just developed a rather expensive obsession with real pinball. Be careful. Virtual is a gateway drug to the real thing. Anyway, here is the frontend I used. Best of luck on your project. www.pinballx.com/

    Hi Richard. If you're talking about the sorting through the different games while in PinballX (before you select a specific table to play), I had a video file of recorded dmd outputs for each table. You just assign X video to play for X table in the pinballX settings. If you're talking after selecting a table. When you're actually playing a game, you have to make sure that you assign which monitor is going to be your dmd monitor in the settings of Visual Pinball, Future Pinball, Pinball FX or whatever program you're using. I hope this helps.

    @@ShaunPurslow yeah so in this video at .57 sec mark you point at DMD of South Park and its got cool animations- mine just keeps saying pinballx- over and over- where do you find cool outputs for DMD? its the last step to make my set up legit!

    I wish it was only $1000. The cabinet legs, rails, coin box, and trim kit cost me almost $1000 CAD to get from the US. (Shipping was over $100 and the BS brokerage fees...) Then the plunger kit is around $150 I think, and a sub woofer, amp, and speakers about $100. A computer all depends on what you get, but a good video card will cost you about $800 now, and the rest of the machine... 43" to 46" TV playfield, 32" backglass, and 15" monitor would be about $600. The wood boxes and hardware, glass, and other misc stuff, probably another $250. My build was probably close to $5000 CAD. And now all it needs is sound activated lighting, some solenoids, and a couple other internal pinball realism stuff added over time. Well worth every penny to me though, cuz I love pinball!

    Question? How did you find out your tv monitors hexadecimal values? Did you use a device or is there a archived list on the web? I understand that I have to translate that into Binary then use coding possibly sent from an arduino to turn it on. My monitor doesn't auto turn on and I really want to do this. Thank you!

  • @ShaunPurslow
    @ShaunPurslow4 жыл бұрын

    Hi there. I used a USB based IR transmitter. It was some old windows media center device I had that came with a remote control for windows. It was able to send and receive IR signals using Windows. Once you get that hooked up you will need a program like Event Ghost to send a signal to the TV to "power on" using that device once windows boots up. I will link to a similar one I found on ebay below.. Hope this helps. www.ebay.com/itm/Gateway-Windows-Media-Center-OVU4003-00/283773501170?hash=item421237fef2:g:QsYAAOSwTRZeO3pa
