My mom took me and my sister to see the Wiz in Chicago in the 70s. I will always love the original Wiz!! It was so magical. I didn’t know who you were Mr. DeShields back then but now I do. This was one of my favorite songs from the show!!!!

Those brides take our musicals and change them all the time it’s about time we took one of theirs and made it brilliant! Been trying to get tickets and my last month is at the end of July. Will be leaving to go back to Chicago and I hope to get them by then Mr. is a National treasure❤ and he is one of my favorite people of all time. Anybody who’d put up with me would 😂have to be.

Eva’s performance is so vulnerable and hauntingly strong and knew how to articulate (with what she does with aanis’ words) what I struggled with. It is so wonderful seeing the original cast members at the opening. THE WIZ was the first Broadway show I saw back in the 70's with the original cast. Some of my current favorite performers DEE DEE , Stephanie and Andre are from that fantastic production. I did get a chance to see the new version here in Atlanta and loved the young woman who played Dorothy

He danced with me at a small party at 4 Park Av.e in the early 1970's. He had on a circle shirt and a rhinestone pin; he made me feel like i was Ginger Rogers. Amazing man and good friend of Shireen Stuart-Jones, an Australian "princess" who sadly passed away a few years back,
