  Why do I feel like this was used to film a lot of the actual skydiving scene (minus the jump) and they’re under NDA so have to say “used for rehearsal”? It’s way too costly to build this marvellous machine just to do rehearsals. UPDATE: The director and Tom confirm on the Blu-Ray commentary that they did originally film part of the scene using the wind tunnel but they didn't like how it looked because it felt like wires, so they shot it for real and composited Paris into the background.

  With this open air vertical wind tunnel, ski diving can now become an Olympic sport with lots of spectator seating.

  Her father, Radoslaw Kuczynski is a successful manager/CEO, when Maja was 1 her family moved to Munich, Germany then again to Paris when she was 6, then after a year her father became Deputy CEO of a big bank in Ukraine, then, after another 3 years, they moved again to Prague when Maja was 11 only to come back to Poland when she was 13. So big chunk of her childhood (1-13) was abroad, in many different countries and she attended english-speaking schools (no point learning a local language if you move every few years). On top of that those were most likely the best available schools as her parents were well off. I hope that explains it briefly. And kinda shows her extraordinary life started early.
