Thanks for this video! I stumbled on this lens in good condition at a garage sale for $25 and snatched it up and plan to use it on my FX Nikon D750...autofocus is a little sluggish but other than that it;s good and picture quality is fire...your viodeo is right on time!

I bought this when i first had a Nikon D80. I now have a Nikon D610 (with five FX lenses.) I thought of getting a 80 200mm 2.8 but I dont do lot of photograpy beyond 85mm, so thought i would stick with lens. It is really quite superb, does the job. I always shoot raw, and run the images through Lightroon RC. Results are truly excellent. Its plastic, light, cheap, but at the heart is Nikon glass. Nuff said !

I purchased a second hand Canon 400D recently for $99 AUD. I plan to do some astrophotography with it with an 85mm F2.5 lens, There will be no camera movement anyway, with multiple short 10 second exposures to avoid star trailing, later stacked and processed . I took the camera on Sydney harbour last week and got some lovely photos of the harbour from a ferry with the stock 18 - 55mm lens. You gave the camera pretty bad rap Ben. Used correctly it is still a capable camera. I had clear focus of the ferry handrail in the foreground with clear focus of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and city in the background.

Please help. Does the camera have exppsure preview function when using the live view mode. I bought the d3100 and when i change the isp, aperture or ahitter speed, the live view shows ths exact same exposure. I can only see the exact exposure after I've taken the photo. I've sold the d3100 and now im eyeing the Nikon d3300. Please help. Ive been a canon shooter since forver and if i use the live view mode, it shows the exact exposure when i changet the settings. That way i can see if im overexposing or underexppsing the shot before i even take the shot. Please help me!

If you get the AF-P 18-55mm lens, when you are shooting video, the firmware changes the motor to become 100% silent, you can't hear any focusing noise at all in the microphone. The AF-S lens makes horrendous dot matrix printer sounds. The stock AF-S 18-55mm lens is insanely beautiful, with razor sharp photos and video. The AF-P lens I think is just as good, but too soon to tell, as I just got it. You'll have to do a free firmware upgrade to use the AF-P lens.

Why didn't you do a review of the Nikon D500? In this video you stated that the 51 point AF system was taken from the D500. That is actually incorrect because the AF area on the D500 has three times as many AF points being 153.

I have just recently bought my used 400D betteries are dirt cheap go buy two of them you won’t regret it. I don’t how to shoot with it but it still pulls some amazing pictures.
