  Never had much luck where you were at first, but the Newport public pier has been great for us in the summer. No idea if this time of year is good for dungeness, everyone says the fall and winter though.

  I’m relatively new to crabbing, so I was just trying some new spots out. People all around us on the pier were catching a lot of dungeness crab, so maybe we just got unlucky

  @@mishkaoutdoors stay safe my bruddah. I had a friend eat sashimi salmon and he got tapeworms. Didn't know until months later until something came dangling out the other end 😂😂😂. Couple doses of meds flushed them out but he was never the same 😂😂😂

  Man I am so bummed with our snipe numbers here on the east coast we used to have so many now the last 3 years I've only gotten like one a season. They just seem to not stop here anymore. Used to be the bread and butter. Now we have no quail no snipe and only a few woodcock

  If I didn’t take that second shot the duck would have swam into the middle of the lake and it would have been a tough recovery. Most of the bird shot passed right thru and no meat was ruined

  I have been seeing a lot of drakes this year. Not a ton of mallards, other than Baskett Slough. I have a drake in the freezer right now, gotta get to the taxidermist.
