Mountain Biking MTB newbie here from Edmonton, Alberta, 🇨🇦 and is sharing my budding adventures here! Just started to get serious on this since mid-May 2020, and oh boy! This bike took me to places...
My goal is to explore new trails and document the full run from trailhead to end to help with landmarkings. Also, to pre-plan on the how-to on tackling such trails. Hope it helps!
As a noob for noobs, i get to rate these trails on how much you can shit in your pants.

The colour relates to the rubber compound not the casing
@@Mark26879 you are right.. that's their ultra soft compound. So whatever I said in there, that's not what I actually meant.😅
How many nm of torque do you put on those? 4 or 6nm? I can’t seem to find any any information from Magura’s website.

I just got this on Amazon, I was suprised at the quality and size. It's a lot roomier than I expected, but like this reviewer said, it could use inside pockets and that'll be a deal breaker for some. I needed something just for my helmets, pads, goggles, shoes, etc and already have a separate pouch so not a big deal for me. It's not flimsy at all, really well made with a good zipper. There's a premium for the Fox name, you can get similar bags from other brands, but I heard this one was good from a friend and didn't feel like shopping around just to save $20-30.
Those skinny strings strong enough? Can this shoe be used for hiking or running or is the hole on the bottom feel weird?

If the rotors are > 1.8mm, you can use 2 metal balls in a vice to tighten the rivets on the old rotor.

i swear by these gloves - even on a 690 cc KTM dirt bike - very good. they come off and go back on easy when wet. they are super thin but so grippy and smoooooth. yeah, they get holes fast, but they are worth the money. dont hesitate - Leatt is leading the way in casual protection

Haha. That switch grade is for enduros not downhillers. Downhill bikes require only one position, that is pointed up for max booty clearance and the downhill angle making the seat level.

That not the point of a floating rotor, it’s free float to allow for expansion and prevent warping.

The plate needs to be fastened on top of the brace, not underneath. The way it is now, "Alberta" is completely covered up. Easy fix, though. Just undo the plate and this time put it on top and re-screw everything. I do like the product, though. Will have to check it out.

Don't buy this remote if you own a RS or R. So many problems concerning connecting fails over and over again. Not sure X2 and X3 owners experience the same problem.
On it's first camera and remote software versions, yeah they were hard to sync them together. But after its first updates, they became seamless. Syncing the camera back (ie changed the battery) has been awesome now.
I've got the latest firmware on both the remote and the camera so I'm curious why you don't have this issue. @@padyegero

I know exactly where OAK got their wide lever design... From my old cnc BOX brake levers I made back in 1997 in So Cal. On an other story; At that time I personally knew Tobby Henderson who founded T.H.E. where I had my office a few miles from his. Years later I saw my BOX brand name on a new bmx component line. So I asked my distributor who was the owner of this new BOX component line? I was shocked to learn it was Tobby Henderson the co-founder of T.H.E. ...! I called him up to let him know I was upset. He claimed he came up with the BOX brand him self and had no idea I founded the brand BOX in the mid 90s. He said his lawyers didn't find any other BOX brands and so they ran with it... Clearly he knew he stole my name cause I gave him some of my BOX levers and BOX pedals when he had T.H.E. brand as I used to visit him and shwag him with BOX products. He not only stole my BOX name but also patterned his levers after my levers. SOME DAY I WILL EXPOSE HIM...
