    I do lots of work in Wichita! I hope to run into you some time. The drywall repairs I see in rentals always looks like it was done by a drunk with a snow shovel. Seems property managers don’t like to pay for quality work.

    I was really disappointed with the rustoleum countertop product I used and am going to re-do my countertops with porcelain tile. I can get it for about 50 cents a square foot at Habitat for Humanity. They are leftovers from construction projects so the selection isn't the same as home depot. But even if you're paying 3-4 dollars a square foot, it's not going to cost that much and will be 100x the quality of a rustoleum paint job.

    I have sense covered those countertops with epoxy looks way better much more durable and you can put in whatever color designs you want.

    Texture covers a lot of problems on the ceiling, lot of times it's less expensive to cover with knockdown instead of trying to repair all the problems on the existing ceiling to make it smooth, but there's always the option of overlaying it with 3/8 sheetrock then it will be smooth.

    I’m skeptical. So we’re sold 500 times more Cold cranking amps (CCA) vs. needed, while hauling around an extra 100 pounds of battery?

  • @wichitafixit
    @wichitafixit5 ай бұрын

    Nothing to be skeptical about you can research it a little bit there's other people doing similar things, I was stranded in the middle of nowhere and the van wouldn't start so I had to come up with something, the cables I used were from a power inverter.

    It will not sand smoth, you will sand it off completely before it becomes perfectly smooth. I just did this and I'm a professional painter. It had enough for one thin finish coat. It looks great but does have texture. I will talk to customer if they want smooth, then additional topcoats will be required with maybe a thicker product.

    Is your technique for a non-painted mud textured ceiling? It seems that if the ceiling we’re painted the water wouldn’t penetrate the mud?

  • @wichitafixit
    @wichitafixit Жыл бұрын

    If it's only latex paint and you let it sit with some water on the texture of little bit longer it will penetrate the paint, but if it has an oil-based sealer then it won't.

    Ground cinnamon works for mine based on my own personal experiences. Mine sense it and don't go near it. Mine get plenty of play and run on our farm so all these folks saying exercise keeps them from digging doesn't work for mine. If ya don't want to use cinnamon use rose clippings with thorns. Sometimes that will work.

    You’d be surprised how many people are driving around clueless to how this works or how to properly jumpstart a vehicle. It’s something that everyone should be taught before they get a license. That and how to safely change a tire, how to check your oil and where to add more if it’s low. The same for transmission fluid, check and refill windshield washer fluid, etc.
