You cannot change the aspect ratio for an external/non-Midjourney image, but you can change the aspect ratio for an image that was created with Midjourney. Is this what you are referring to?
@@woollyferncreative I wanted to change aspect ratio of external image, after pointing it out in the prompt using cref tag. If its not possible then its okay 😊

Are you referring to Character Reference? If so, make sure you are using a Midjourney image as your --cref. Non-Midjourney images do not work well.

Can I upload a picture say from Pinterest and use that aesthetic from the picture as a reference for the ai ?
Yes. Paste the image URL after the --sref parameter to use it as a Style Reference.
Thank you for this video. This video helped me open my work I've created on Midjourney into Discord by copying the job id. However, for some reason, I can't see the pan buttons even though I have the remix mode on. EDIT: I just found out the pan works on Midjourney website. For some reason, it didn't open the pan. It probably didn't work with my upscaled image.
Many comments below reflect my opinion....your presentations have been the most helpful to me. You don't try to cover too many ideas in one sitting...you don't scream...you don't hype. Calm and well presented without a touch of that ADHD stuff I see too often. Yeah I'm on that spectrum.

I uploaded the my desired MJ image into my discord. How do you get the link correct, it's not liking it.
You should be able to right click on your image and select Copy Link (on Desktop app). It will be a really long link. MJ will shorten it after you submit your prompt. Also make sure you have a space between --cref and your link.
@@woollyferncreative as mine is only coming up as copy message link or copy media link I don’t have any other alternative. As I’m using my iPad, do you think that this could be the reason?
Yes, I think the menu is slightly different depending on if you're using the desktop app, mobile, or web.

You can paste in a URL to any image you want to use as a --cref. If you want to use a character you've created with Midjourney (recommended), open the image on Midjourney's website and click the 3 lines in the upper right. A menu will pop up and you can click Copy, then click Image URL. Then paste that image URL after the --cref parameter in your prompt. Make sure there's a space after --cref. Hope that helps!

Yes, as you rate more images, your personalization will be updated. Your personalization code will stay the same. They are considering allowing people to have different versions of their personalization codes, but I'm not sure if it will happen. For example, a personalization code based on image pairs you've ranked in the last month vs. a personalization code that uses all image pairs you've ranked.

To get the URL of an image you want to use as a cref, open up the image in Midjourney. Then, click the 3 lines in the upper right and a menu will pop up. Click Copy. Then Click Image URL. Now you can paste that image URL after the --cref parameter in your prompt. Make sure there's a space between --cref and your URL. Hope that helps!

Awesome! If you go to their website and click "Sign Up", it looks like there is an option to use a Google account. I'm not sure if that will just put you on a sign-up list and then you'll get notified when they give you access, or if it will just let you in. If you try it, let me know!
I've been waiting for image expand, on images we upload.
If they decide to let people inpaint uploaded images in the future, I could see allowing pan and zoom on uploaded images being an easy addition.
Quick question, when you turn on Personlized style as a default on the web app, does it aalso default to it "on" in Discord? (yes, I am still using discord, lol)
Your settings on Discord and the website are not connected, so you'll have to set it to default on both. Also, I'm still mostly using Discord, so I totally get it lol 🙂.

My soapbox speech: literally all MJ7 needs imo to completely beat put SD in practically all ways is to have something like a LoRA the users can tune using our own images. Also Controlnet. I do wonder why they take so long, and have taken so long to deploy anything like these two features which define their competition. Now, I cannot complain about 4.3 billion styles. However they do sometimes get a little repetitive. Go through the first 350 or so sref seeds and you'll see a lot of them that have sort of like a CGI look with kind of similar decoration like flowers and birds. Some of that is more composition versus style but anyway,thanks for sharing. Hopefully we keep seeing these kinds of improvements.
Yea, Midjourney's new Model Personalization is probably the closest thing they have to a LoRA right now. Controlnet is on their to do list. I'm semi-hopeful that it will come out with their V7 release. Re: SREFs, yes, I have noticed some styles that are similar. Hard not to with 4.3 billion to comb through :-). I'm having a great time picking out ones that I think are quality though. Have a look at some of my recent SREF videos, if you're interested.

I've used it quite a bit. I totally don't like it which surprises me. I have done the "rank images" to teach it...2,500 images but it still makes terrible images. I have stopped using --p. I can usually get what I want without it anyway.
Oh, interesting! I know the MJ team is looking into specific cases where people don't like their model personalization and have seen some higher error rates associated with those users. Might be worth informing the MJ team so they can look into it. Regardless, they should be making improvements to it soon.
