I didn't understand why this little girl was learning Chinese?? That's strange. Because normally if you want to learn foreign language people usually pick french, German, even korean but never heard someone learning Chinese. You know what I strongly feel after florina's success the tv channel wanted to raise their trp and give some sort of interesting usp to this little girl and they all made up that the girl was learning Chinese. If she is really learning Chinese then why speak gibberish and not the real language? She looks very oriental so either the little girl's father or the channel forced her to say that she knows Chinese to make her look interesting in the tv for the audience. That's it. All of them are equally responsible. And this guy Raghav knows the truth too. Most mainland indians anyways refer northeasterns as Chinese. This is nothing new.

Just because little girl could speak chinese, you shouldnt have use derogatory term by using made up language also adding the term momos...also in the apology why dragging the kid and saying i have N.E. friends etc.its almost as if you are dodging the apology...sorry, but it wasn't a proper apology..... You shouldn't use words like that just to make audience laugh....although it was not for ill intention...young audience and surprisingly elders as well will call us that term even today....even though it was happening in the past as well.... Its a casual racism, if you didnt know... Proper apology would've been much better without dragging the kid etc...

Mistakes happen and you came out with clarification but it's a sensitive matter which I would request you to understand as well. For you it might be a friendly and fun encounter but having said that, it's not right to generalise the thought that everyone will be fine. There are people who have gone through horrible racist cases because we look different. I have friends, who call me chinki just as a joke but they never dare to say it to others because they know that I understand as friends and I don't find a problem when you're with your friends but not in a show where millions of people are watching and not everyone get what u guys do behind the scene and no one have the time for that unless one is hardcore fan. I hope I made my points clear
