I saw an indication in the title here that apparently indicates that this is from 2021. It must be so because I notice a huge difference between this performance and the way you sound today. Today I hear no AK nasality (that nasal thing only worked for him and his students all sounded like ducks being neck-squeezed, unfortunately), much better legato singing and no out of tune singing. I also perceive today much better support, a much more apparent and much clearer voice line connectivity, no head tilting to the left and much more relaxation in general at the same time you're supporting your sound much more strongly. And, importantly, as a result of all the things you're doing differently currently, the sound is more beautiful nowadays. José, you've come a long way. Keep up the great work! But, if it's a recent performance, just listen and look at it critically, as I am sure you're already doing, and you'll correct everything. I have no doubt about it. But I am still sure it's an old performance. Best of lucks always!

Just wanted to mention that the Melocchi method created the greatest operatic voices of the XXth century like Mario del Monaco, Franco Corelli, Giuseppe Giacomini, Gianfranco Cecchele, Nicola Martinucci, Angelo Mori, Silvano Carroli, Amadeo Zambon, Robert Kerns, Gastone Limarilli and I could go on like this for quite a while. So in my opinion it's not very intelligent to criticize a method that created the most famous singers in the history of opera.

@@Tenor_Simerilla Did you study with Marcello del Monaco or any students of Marcello del Monaco or Arturo Melocchi that you say that you include the method when singing? Well the method is quite "manly" in way that doing special exercises you strengthen the laryngeal muscles that fully lower the larynx. Also neither Melocchi nor Mario or Marcello ever spoke about head voice ;)

I’m at the stage where I can only sing my high notes in a disconnected falsetto and it sounds exactly like yours. It’s easy and I can do it all the time. How do I start adding more chest? I feel like when I try I just end up pushing and then it becomes hard. I also tend to push my falsetto to try and sound louder and have more weight but it becomes tiring. I don’t know what to do.

That relaxed B4 flat at the start of the video doesn't feel like full or so called "mixed" voice imo. It sounds like reinforced falsetto. Not an expert on vocal terminology though.

Weird question. How would you go about feminizing your voice as a tenor? Or is that not possible? I just don’t like the fact that it sounds so masculine when I sing

Great video and great voice!! When talking about tuning the mix of chest voice and head voice, you used the word "nodules". Don't you mean "dials", like on a radio? We use dials to tune in a radio station, not nodules. Look at 7:00

José you're singing better than ever. On top of the fact that you have an extremely beautiful voice, you sound like the great oldschool masters now. It's just amazing! Keep up the good work! Just a few humble suggestions: get totally rid of the h between bowels as the phrasing always sounds cleaner and clearer, and the sound more beautiful and more polished without the h. So no h between vowels ever, Björling style. Keep working on that strong diaphragmatic support and super legato singing you have almost perfected by now. Your piano-forte, forte- piano are becoming absolutely fantastic!! And you're using it strategically, only to express a feeling and not without an expressive purpose. Bravo!! It will become even stronger when your support gets stronger. Believe it or not, the softer you sing, the more support you need but also the more neck and throat relaxation you need to have at the same time. The piangendo, keep it. It sounds great. Your suono coperto is fantastic nowadays, not too little, not too much. I don't know why I am telling you all of this though, you already know it. I can't wait to see you at La Scala and The Met, etc., ASAP. Congratulations!
