That's crazy Max to think these wildfires could be down by a 2/3 if only people took care. All the best over there. Mark
Indeed... Thanks mark
Great tip!
Thanks IceBear... I was hoping it might be useful.
I'm not going anywhere. I'm subscribed to the man, not the hike or camp. You do you, Max! 😃💚👊
Many many thanks IceBear
Fo what ya can. We are here for ya.
Thanks TJ
Sad days. Not good with all the wild fires. Take care and be safe 😊
Sad days indeed.. Thanks NHT.
Sometimes we change because of things we cannot influence, but that does not mean that changes are not good. Cheers Max. 🖐😁🤗
Change will be good.. At least for me... Thanks my friends.
Hello Max. It's scary how many fires there are on the west coast and how much they threaten life in that area. We are now fighting five big fires on the coast, and we are a small country. 90% are caused by people. What could be in someone's head to intentionally set fire and endanger numerous lives. Take care and have a nice weekend.
Thanks my friends. It has been a terrible year for fires. Been hot, dry, little rain and careless people. Still only small fires near me and all are out or under control. Stay safe my friends.
A couple of the areas we visited this summer are now on fire. I was using OnX to check for wildfires at the time, but nothing major had started yet. Good to know the official site to check.
That is sad for sure. The last big wildfire out here was a few years back when a big chunk of the Linville Gorge burned. Have an awesome weekend my friend.
Really been hot and so little rain out this way this year... Very dry... a little dry lightning or someone careless is all it takes.. Thanks Jim!
I know it has been hot over there and electrical sties can cause a wild fire but when you add in people starting fire it's unbelievable. I only hope any deliberate fire starters are cause and jailed, cheers Alan
Thanks Alan... Only two small fires in Wyoming so far. Hope we can keep it that way.
Wow- take care
Indeed. Thanks Dave!
Sad to see Max thanks for sharing 👍 Simon 🤠
Thanks Simon. It is indeed.
Sad days 🥲 - thanks for the web site Max. We’ve been getting reports on the local news. So far our area has some fires, but doesn’t have bad air from fires like a few years ago. Stay safe everybody!
The web site is handy to check before going out... Thanks Jennifer.
@@HikeCamp Gives a good over vire too..
We have a lot of Forest Fires in British Columbia. To date it is over 7 million acres. Mother Nature is the main cause here with humans causing a heck of a lot too. We get a lot of lightning strikes here that are a major problem. People need to be more careful though and not add to what Mother Nature already does! It' a good idea to check where the fires are so that you know where you can travel and not travel. We have major roads that are closed here because of the fires.
I is just terrible this year... Many thanks AA
We observed the Pioneer fire on Lake Chelan, WA while taking the ferry from Chelan to Stehekin and back. On the way back, the captain took us right up to one of the fires that was really blazing. It was burning right down to the lake. I used the link you provided to identify the name. Will be on an upcoming post.
So many of them this year... It turns the gut.. Thanks Ken!
Again? It’s always on fire this time of the year! It’s like they are planned! Nothing new!😢😢😢
Indeed Tony! Arson fires are by nature and so many of these are, no doubt, just that.
Hey Max. You're quite good at reviews. Maybe you can expand on that to items other than strictly camping and hiking gear.
Good suggestion... perhaps if the opportunity arrives... Thanks Tom and Julie!
@@HikeCamp You are welcome, Sir!
All of these wildfires are so sad. It seems to get worse every year. It never used to be this bad when I (Rachel) was growing up. We have another trip we are going to take in a few weeks, but we haven't officially planned it yet because of this very reason. We're keeping an eye on the fires and smoke. Prayers to all in the path of these fires. 🙏🏻
Thanks WW! It is sad when you see that only about 1 3rd of the total fires were caused by Mother nature... Best wishes on your next trip.
@@HikeCampThank you! Yes, very frustrating when you see that man is causing most of them. Ugh.
No problem in the southern part of the states.
Yep... All the craziness is out this way... Thanks 77😜
We have them here also. No where near as many put if it gets into the peat it can burn for years.
It is really sad that so many are started by people and spread because of bad management. Thanks David.
Fire is one of the biggest risks we have in my area, total fire ban on right now, every summer it seems.
Same here... Very dry! Thanks HH
Change is good Max👍👍
I wish it felt that way... Maybe once I get used to it. Thanks Anthony!
What a mess... The sheer vastness of this has to stretch the capabilities of the responders
Oh it does indeed... I have a friend who is a wild fire fighter and he told me it is just crazy. Thanks Chuck
Gear reviews can be a lot of fun. The offers pour in pretty good after a while too. Glad you're not changing the channel name. I Have your patch sewed on my pack lol. Not getting out much these days myself. Crime is getting so bad in our area.I don't feel comfortable leaving the family alone anymore.
It is a true shame when we have to feel unsafe where we live, work and play. All the best Travis and thanks my friend..
Take care Max. Looking forward to following you moving forward too. We change, and that is a good thing. All the best 😀
I was not quite ready for this kind of change, but change I must.. Thanks NHT
Hi Max - looking forward to where the channels going next. Good to see you out and about; that field very easy on the eye. Bring catching up soon. ATB Mark.
Thanks Mark. The field looked cool with all the hay bails... But they were loading them that day it is likely bare today.
Looks like a great set-up for all of your gear to hike! 🥾 Nice review! 😊 We might need to get this.
Very different from a pack. Thanks WW
We'll always still watch, Max! 😊 You're a fun person to listen to and watch. Glad it's not too smoky there. The hay field is beautiful. 💛 God wanted you still here, so that's why you're still here with us. 💞
Thanks my friends... Don't normally take my cameras on my morning walk.. But glad I did.
You are stuck with me Max. have enjoyed watching the channel evolve as things have changed. Take care Max and stay well.
Thank you David... Glad to have you along.
Good to see you out Max sometimes we have to reorg to carry on mate 🤠👍 Best wishes Simon
A forced reorg but a reorg nonetheless. Thanks Simon
Well my friend whatever you decide to do I'm still with ya! Take care Max!
Sometimes change can be a good thing. I've been here since near the beginning and will always be here. Looking forward to your future photos, reviews, and tips. Take care buddy and stay safe.
Thanks Shu.. Not real sure what it will look like but we will see.
Hi Max! Those are some jumbo bales! Pretty field! Hike, Camp and the great outdoors! Sounds like you have some good ideas for upcoming videos- take care of yourself and we’ll be happy to enjoy your photos, gear reviews and tips! 👌👍🌻🌻 Jen 😄
Yeah those bales are massive, the size of a small car. They do the rolled ones here as well, they are also quite big. Thanks Jennifer.
@@HikeCamp Same here- they make small bales and bigger round bales, then they make plastic with green chop for cows. Over in Eastern WA they make those jumbo bales too- I guess it works for drier climates. 😄👌
Well we certainly have a dry climate here.
Those are some huge straw bales, good to see you out and about.
Straw / Hey they all look the same to me. Not much farmer in me... LOL They are the size of a small car. Thanks 3D
I'm sure you'll be able to figure something out that will work for what you like to create. Change happens. Maybe you'll attract a different type of viewer to your channel that you didn't have before😁
We're not going anywhere, I'm sure you'll still have some interesting stuff to share. Have a good evening. Mike.
Many thanks HH
Max car camp its always a win
Will enjoy hearing what you share about hiking and camping or other stuff you may come up with.
It could all be quite boring but we will see how it goes. Thanks Ken!
big physical and mental adjustments to work through, sometimes it doesn't feel real but i have this pretty little scar to remind me lol when you start feeling stronger you might be up to some day camps, start learning to cook lol
Thank you Lezley... Me cook... LOL I can ruin a dehydrated meal or make a regular meal into a dehydrated meal...🔥 We will have to see what the future brings.
With all of your experience I'm sure you have enough tips and tricks to keep us entertained.. You probably forgot more than most of us know...lol I for one will be standing by Although at my advanced years I don't need many tricks and tips for what I do lol I still thirst for knowledge.
Thanks Chuck, you are too kind!
It's about you, you do you.
Thanks NM8B... LOL I am really kind of boring... 😂
No matter your decision, Sir, we will still be watching. Keep up the great work !!!
Awesome my friend... Thanks!
A name change can be a good strategy. I'm working with that theory too.
You may have something there but I am a bit skittish on trying to rebrand... Thank 77
Look forward to what you come up with
Thanks Patrick!
Did you actually compare without filter images with images with the filter? I didn't see it.
Actually this idea really fell flat for me in the long run.
Very interesting
