    I have the L2501 and am really happy with it. I like the metal hood too. I don't take a bowling ball to the woods with me so I didn't need the John Deere. Good job on this review. New subscriber here.

    How smooth is that backhoe? And does the thumb work well?

  • @JW-us7qh
    @JW-us7qh3 жыл бұрын

    The thumb works good. The backhoe is smooth to a certain extent. Since this MX only has like 9 GPM flow, it’s a little slow. It is smooth for what it is. But like iv said in other videos this is not a commercial backhoe. It’s very handy to have around your property to do a few odd jobs a year with.

    Kubota makes a good tractor, I own a L39 kubota backhoe and really like it. I had a L5240 grand L series with cab it was nice tractor but was so light in the rear I couldn't do much with it in my business. I recently bought a 2607h massey and like it. I know you don't like Massey but it's a old school tractor and it's heavy. Like anything if you can't put the power to the ground your wasting your time. Anyway good video

    Have you tried using your MX5200 with moving round hay bales with front end loader?

  • @JW-us7qh
    @JW-us7qh4 жыл бұрын

    Dustin Cribb no I don’t think iv moved any bales with this tractor. I have moved a few large 3x4 square and 4x5 rounds dry hay with a L4600, has less loader capacity and handled the bales real easy. So I’d imagine the MX would handle them even easier than the L.

  • @311hitwall

    Have you had any issues with the MX? Do you have the heavy duty bucket? I was looking at the 5400 but couple of things i am not crazy about - the fuel tank location and the rocker pedal for the hydro. I thought the MX was a heavier tractor than the Grand L series because it has larger front tires but it actually weighs less than a Grand L 5460. The MX is expensive enough when compared to a premium kioti, but the Grand L is ridiculous. Kubota charges extra for stuff that comes standard on other tractors.

  • @JW-us7qh
    @JW-us7qh4 жыл бұрын

    I have not had any issues with my MX5200. The tractor has about 110 or 115 hr. I had a code error po336 that popped up several times, the code is easily cleared by using the regen buttons. Once I changed the oil that code clears up and has not appeared again. Your salesman should be able to help find the right tractor for your needs that would work with in your budget. The advantage to Deere is the fuel tank is in the rear but still elevated off the ground on a few comparable models. The advantage of that is adds a little extra weight to the rear considering Deere uses cast iron housing with aluminum rear ends, plastic fenders, fuel tank etc.

    Just get a kioti. 10k less than competitors, higher lift capacity, cheaper to fix and easier. Built at industrial commercial standards. They are literally the Bob cat tractor line painted orange.

    Thanks for posting this review. I'm looking pretty closely at the mx5200 FRC. It has a synchro shuttle shift and I think it also has partial synchro manual gear (3 and 4, I think...). I am wondering what sets this model and the DT apart except for 4WD? Also, what do you think of the FRC model? I don't plan to push snow, 20% loader work and 80% mower and haying work. I wanted a higher PTO hp just for future implements I may want to use....wood chipper and rototiller. Would appreciate your insight, cheers from Ontario!

  • @JW-us7qh
    @JW-us7qh5 жыл бұрын

    I do not think their is any difference between the FRC and DT. Both offer 4WD the DT is the US model equal to the FRC which is Kubota’s Canadian Model. Transmission in the DT offers 3rd and 4th synchro equal to the FRC model. This tractor has very good loader control at max load capacity handles very good. I would recommend asking your dealer to add fluid to the rear tiers for ballast. The MX5200 I have not had it hooked to anything other than the BH92 but would speculate it would handle mower work like a breeze. My L4600 handles most of my rough cutter work and it is a downgrade compared to this MX5200. Over all the MX5200 DT or FRC is a very well rounded tractor can handle a multitude of tasks with out much hesitation. Anyway I hope that helps a little. Thank you for watching.
