I have a question for mr cork sniffer.. Why did you degrade yourself to visit harbor freight in the first place?
@jonathanrand7767Ай бұрын
I just ran across your Workmate videos and they've inspired me to pick one for myself. The glue is drying on the frame I've built for the casters and the assembly supports are next. I'm going to make mine 26" long. What length did you make yours?
@jonathanrand7767Ай бұрын
I'm going to pad the supports with the material that "Make Things" recommends in his "grippy" video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a3mAwceyZ9i5cdo.htmlsi=c602W6IHB8RGx4ky

My brother, I have a problem with my scooter. When the speed reaches 45, the alarm goes off and the scooter turns off. Do you have any solution to prevent it from turning off, or a video clip explaining the method, brother?

Marty what you could use is wide thin plywood near rear clamp so your hand plane bang into the veritas clamp that’s what I would do.

First of all, thank you for this video! I feel like I just had a crash course in plane adjustment. I bought one of these planes today because I thought what the heck? Its a $13 (2024) plane. As soon as I got home I opened the box, inspected the tool and went to KZread and stumbled upon your video. I believe “Windsor” Design may have also seen this video. 7 years later, my blade is square and straight and quite sharp. I’m going to use a fine stone and strop on it just to fine tune it. The base needs flattening, so thank you for teaching us how to do it. I saw another video and the craftsman said this type of blade adjustment is popular in Europe. So maybe this plane has visited Windsor? Anyway, my only issue is the grip. I have big hands and long fingers and find the grip a bit dainty. I’ll probably make a slightly beefier grip. If i do I’ll make a video of that project. Thanks so much!

I like the caster wheels. They add functionality. For the rest of your "improvements": you are not using the original bench for what it was meant for other than as a base for them. You are lowering the capacity of the bench. It would have been better to build a strong base incorporating those improvements. At 5:30 you have to step on the base because you exceeded the capacity of the base. It seems that you are not using it properly.

Ordered and just received a couple of these Blue Spruce butt chisels for detail work like dovetailing. I like to grasp the chisel low near the cuts for control. Bench chisels, being long by comparison, tend to give me hand cramps in preventing wobble. And butt chisels fit comfortably in the palm for other work. Like the way the steel is shaped and machined for getting into tight spots. These are pricy but of highest quality.

Thought I would look up you oldest video 🙂 Well a lot of interest in the Moon these days, I myself spent my entire career on a Satellite Earth Station which is now very much involved with the latest goals in that direction. My Surname is Ridge (so much for the title). No sign of an EUC anywhere, 10 years too early perhaps. Who bought the pooch? A big dog you would need some space. Pity you're not in frame anywhere, that could have been fun - fashion, haircut something.
