Great video boys! I've been gaming since the Atari days and although I love the PS2 and NES era's, please allow me to say something possibly controversial that may get me in trouble with my friends who are my age (late 40's) but I think the 7th Gen is the best I've ever played. The games, the system, the jump to HD the time in my life where I finally had expendable funds and the nostalgia of it all. To this day, my favorite FPS of all time is still Battlefield Bad Co 2 and no one can make me feel differently, I will die on that hill ha ha! Appreciate the content as always!!! Cheers!

I now have almost a full 360 collection (every game that isn't shovelware or trash) and I am set. Also 7th Gen is hard to emulate while all previous consoles are easy. I have moved on to PS4 games but I am sure my collection for that will be far smaller.

I guess fairly unpopular, but the Wii was all I needed. It's still hooked up to this day. With all the Virtual Console games from all the consoles I had growing up (minus the PS1 obviously), full gamecube backward compatibility, and being able to play all the disc based Wii games as well as the Wiiware games. I really enjoyed it and the motion controls (even if they didnt always hit a home run, I like the ones that at least tried to do something different). It was, for me, the last time I really "loved" gaming and had fun with it if that makes any sense.

I absolutely agree that this was the last great console generation Heck, this was the last generation where the console didn't feel like a budget PC (Wii U and Switch notwithstanding)

As someone who never got into online gaming, I still love my PS3 and still have a good size collection of physical games I bought years ago for cheap. Never need online to play any of my games. Never had a 360 and haven't played a Wii since my kid was little a decade ago, but plenty of appreciation for this gen.
I’m still looking to get Xbox games. Just got nfl fever 04 and all stars baseball 03…no idea what they are like yet but going to play them on the 360.
7th gen is the best gen. Back then, developers weren’t afraid to take risks.

It's probably pretty close for us. I'd say 8bit and Gen 6 probably take the top spot but Gen 7 gets a lot of love as well

I remember the first time seeing Gears of War and being blown away!
I just picked up a PS3 and Xbox 360 in the last year or so BECAUSE they are offline and have physical media! Great games in this generation! For most cross-compat games, the 360 shine better in this era as it was easier to develop for. PS3 has amazing exclusives nonetheless but I think the 360 beats out the PS3 just by a bit for this gen. Wii is awesome to have as well but more for the Gamecube games than the Wii games imo. I will be gaming off the grid one day and planning on having offline devices of every capacity. PS4 / Switch seem to be the last offline game consoles which is super important to me for going off grid. Great content and channel. Cheers!

This was the last great generation in my opinion. Besides all the great games across all the different consoles, online gaming was on fire, game/console updates changed a lot, motion controls became a thing, and high definition graphics were introduced. I have soo many fond memories from this era.
Tons of great memories here as well. My college years were filled with PS3 and 360 good times

Ill add, I want a new company to come out w a console where its back to basics. 2D art form but built to still be powerful enough to make great games, WITH NO UPDATES!!!! Granted these games are made for our consoles now but I'd rather have it on a console where I can play these same games 20+ years later

Oh hell yeah. PS3 prices are about to break the ceiling! Heavenly Sword is not as good as GoW3 lol. You can turn the SIXAXIS controls off in it.
Blu-ray discs are designed to be more durable than the old CD and DVD ROMs. Still, these cases are less "grabby" than the old PS3 cases. Now you dont get loose discs with those puppies.
Besides the obvious ones like Astro Bot, Rush of Blood, and Resident Evil 7, check out Thumper (rhythm) and Paper Beast (puzzle). Also if you want more horror, try Paranormal Activity and Home Sweet Home

Overrated psvr games that everyone recommends BUT are boring...until dawn rush of blood, RE 7, Walking Dead Saints and Sinners...I would avoid those
First off... get a Quest 3 if you want to play VR. N the PSVR, is kinda the worst VR. Don't get suckered into the PSVR2, there really is like 2 games on the damn thing
Star Trek Bridge Crew, Doctor Who Edge of Time is short and great too....No Mans Sky is probably the masterpiece of PSVR and PSVR2

STAR WARS SQUADRONS, VADER VR ....These are funnest, games you wont be able to put down on PSVR...Battlezone, Sniper Elite, Hitman collection , Iron Man, Blood and Truth , No Mans Sky, Rush, Swordsman , Creed ( best boxing game, also fitness) ...those are the best. Sony will send you the cable to connect your PSVR to PS5 for FREE
Hydro Thunder Hurricane is hands down one of the best Xbox live games. I played it so much during covid

Moss is amazing! Until Dawn Rush of Blood, on rail horror shooter. Those are two of the best imo. We have a bunch of them and they've consistently been top of the heap!
