i wanted to continue the thought.... try not to ollie by "picking up your legs" <-----if you do this, you will never be able to ollie higher. you need to crouch in order to jump. try jumping while standing up straight. you can't. all you can do is lift your feet up to somewhere below your hips if you're even that flexible! so for better ollies... always crouch for stability and ability to jump and always land crouched for a lower center of gravity to "flow" with the landing and lessen the impact if you fall. free tip #2 never learn tricks in a sidewalk crack or while stationary! if you're moving, even slowly, while learning a trick... you'll at least know where your body weight is going. if you're standing still and land primo on a kickflip.... you have much less of an idea about where you're going to fall! good luck!
@nucleareggplants4 күн бұрын
nice! i'm your online coach, though from now on. hehe. i want you to get better and be more safe at the same time, ok? first off, i'm a huge andy anderson fan, so there's nothing wrong about protective gear! ok... notice where your helmet is in respect to where it is when you land. your head height when you crouch to ollie is in the same place as where it is when you land. you don't need to crouch a lot to ollie a 2 stair, but when you land after the ollie... you're almost standing straight legged. that is a bad thing if anything goes wrong. "the taller they are, the harder they fall" meaning if you land in a much more crouched stance and say.... you hit a rock you didn't see... being crouched means WAY less impact if you slam. same goes for approaching the 2 stair.... if you're standing too straight up and hit a rock at the top, it's only going to be worse
