I have the latest Ohme pro charger, i`m told it can charge using solar only, by using the solar boost in the App. There is no "solar boost" in the App only solar+grid. Ohme have said to use the solar+grid but this takes a lot from the grid & would be cheaper to charge at night rates. Customer service is very slow & never seem to address the issue being raised a month now & still no answer that resolves the problem they should be called OHMY NO SOLAR

The price of home EV chargers is still pure insanity though. This simple little charging box costs almost a grand!

Ohme have the worst customer service, they bang on about green energy. I cant work out how to use Solar only, they take ages answering the phone & then cant help with this simple question, it`s now been sent to their tech guys who are surposed to call me back, 3 days later still waiting (how long it`ll be i dont know) so still waiting. As a disabled person i need my car, & to run it as cheap as possible. Stick to combustion engines or use a different charger company

Junk charger. Had its for 5 months and never works properly. Can not be trusted to have charged when you wake up. Every month have to dispute the bill with octopus. You can’t have two cars on the app so if you have multi ev’s in your household it’s a nightmare. You have to delete the car and add second car everytime you charge.

You don’t need to delete the first car. You just switch to the next car.

Just a heads up, the cable can be unplugged mid charge from the charging unit the cable is only locked to the car not the unit. The app is rubbish. Also the unit can not to be turned off so the only way to not have it using any electricity in standby you have to turn it off at the actual fuse. As soon as it was installed I covered up the large ohme logo and the bright blue led buttons with black duck tape to distract taxi drivers noticing a EV charging point and trying to steal a charge. It’s all app based and the app is not good Wish I wasn’t forced to have this EV charger by motability much prefer the Easee one

To confirm the holster comes with the charger, it's not an additional accessory. I've had mine installed since Oct 23 and so far so good (only complaint, no internet, it doesn't work, even if local wi-fi is working, I suspect that applies to quite a few different chargers though!)

I suspect there may a potential market for a wall box COVER (for other wall chargers, such as the Tesla Wall Connector). that would provide the similar functionality of allowing the owner to hide the cable in the same way. I know I would buy one!
