  Very informative video, I also just learned that I was supposed to put the oil inder the clipper and not on the end where the blades are.. That's what I get for not reading the instructions...

  My advice is to never try to disassemble your clipper, unless you really know what you're doing and you have a really good reason for doing it. I still regret disassembling mine, because it took me a very long time and a lot of reading on the internet to put them back as close to the original as possible. I still doubt that they are absolutely aligned, but they were much worse the last few attempts, so I'm not messing with mine ever again.

  Thank you so much for sharing this simple step-by-step process. I have run out of room on my Clara 2E as I have started listening to audio books (which gobble up the storage pretty quick) Before I try it - will this work on the Clara 2E - and if it fails - is there a simple 'roll-back' process? I'm picking - re-install original saved image would be the go-to.

But be patient 😉 I asked nicely and was shared an original saved image 3. I looked in r/e-reader www.reddit.com/r/ereader/comments/xl853y/kobo_2e_internal_images_sd_card_confirmed/ Pls note, unlike the original Clara, th Clara 2e SD is SOLDERED. But it appears it can be removed. Pls do more research before attempting! Good luck

  Hi, I got stuck trying to read my MicroSD card from the Kobo. The drive doesn't properly read when I connect it, I see it under "This PC" as a drive but it won't show the size and it doesn't open. Also the image creator software doesn't see the drive. I can use my new MicroSD card so it seems to be related to the card from the Kobo. Any thoughts on how to deal with that? Thanks!

  @@bartvanbaardwijk6325 I mentioned in the video of something similar that happened to me. I had to U fortunately format and delete all my files on my SD card but it did fix my issue. Perhaps, it might help you if you use the SD formatter www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/ Alternatively, pls head over to the experts at mobileread forums. They are helpful and friendly and helped me ! Good luck

  My clipper makes ALOT of noise (I havent used it for almost 4 week after travelling). I cant fix it, I tried playing around with the screw that holds that vibrating arm spring, even at the tightest it makes alot of noise. :(

  Adjusting the white head by pushing down that vibrator head was the exact fix. I almost threw away the trimmer cause its like 30 years old after I dropped it and it started making a horrible noise. Glad I investigated and someone else did all the foot work. Many thanks.

  well now there's a hair pulling problem after cleaning and trying to use this video to put them back together when there wasn't one before. edit: figured it out. had a better time getting the large blade straight with its mounting point, then using the tuning screw to align the vibrating blade. cuts better than it ever did before.

  I have a 50 year old 89 Taper Wahl clipper that had not been used for many years. It made a horrible loud noise with the teeth not moving. I followed your step by step instructions and was able to align the teeth and get it working again . Thank you for your simple instructions step by step close ups. I think you saved me from buying a new one.

  best thing to do when they stop cutting is put them in the trash immediately and never waste a second sharpening they are garbage not possible to fix them in any way , just cheap throway clippers

  They should make the blades where they just align out of the package. In this day and age, you shouldn't have to manually adjust the blades! What a pita.

  Awesome Video!! Worked perfectly, exactly like you showed. I followed this procedure on a Kobo Aura Edition 2. I found it odd that the stated capacity of this ereader is 4GB, yet the internal SD card was an 8GB Micro SD Card, with 3+GB not formatted/not being used. I bumped up to 64GB. Tremendous public service to Kobo users! Thank You!!

  I have a preowned Kobo N905B, i've added a 32GB micro SD card into the slot to expand the storage which is all well and fine but i need to remove it and plug the card itself into my laptop to add/remove files instead of just plugging the Kobo in. I'd very much like to change the device's internal storage to a 1TB SD (i have a habit of going overkill with my tech, and noone can convince me to settle for less than this lol) so i can load an insane library. My question would just be, is it extremely similar to this video guide if i were to take it apart? I'd hate to break my e-reader by not knowing what i'm doing

  Hi, I did some google research and while you can get SD image of N905B (there is a megathread on mobileread forums) It appears that the SD card is not removable. www.reddit.com/r/kobo/comments/6nix34/n905b_cant_remove_internal_sd_card_also_cant/ This Reddit comment is the closest to giving you an answer. Sorry, I am not 100% sure. I suggest to head over to the mobileread forums and ask the friendly folks there . Good luck
