    There's no better way to mix than not knowing what side chain compression is and letting a plugin do it for you on the master bus. 🤮

    Hello @alexpromix, Thanks for the tutorial. I make orchestral music using VSL instruments and MIR PRO 3D Where will you place each desk ? What instrument will you put on the back speakers ? Will you put the conductor place around the orchestra ?

    Sorry to hassle you but I am having a bit of trouble bouncing my ADM files with all the meta data included. When I open the bounce mix window and select ADM the "apply program level meta-data" option is greyed out. When I try to reopen my ADM file in a new project, the meta-data is not there. Everything is panned to the middle of the room.

  • @DolbyAtmosMixing

    Hey dude. Great question. Elimination by reduction with harsh or masked frequencies helps to clean up the signal before putting it through a saturator, compressor, or limiter, which would then increase the low level signal of such frequencies. While it seems like I’m randomly selecting frequencies, I do this a lot and am fast with it. In a busy and dense mix this is how you can achieve clarity without the clutter or large production. For example, hyper compress a vocal with an 1176 compressor and then use this technique to remove all the noise created from the compressor.

    Well, it's starting to become clear that this is just a waveshaper. The input and drive do exactly the same thing... clean gain. A little EQ bump that manipulates the phase a bit. And a lot of confirmation bias. I think Sonnox Inflator or the free Melda MWaveShaper do the exact same thing. And I mean exact. Now I don't like the Melda interfaces, in general. So the pretty On-Off switch that does absolutely nothing on MixHead is something, I guess. But I stand by my original premise that the hype is ridiculous on this (even though I bought it myself). YMMV

  • @MetricHaloAudio
    @MetricHaloAudio15 күн бұрын

    No - they are not the same thing, And the HF Adjust doesn't change the phase at all because it is a linear phase EQ (just like the original device). The input and drive are documented to do the same thing. It is implemented like that, again, to match the device, so that you can directly translate settings on the device to the plugin. That's the way the device did it; weird but true. We explain where and how the "Its just a waveshaper analysis" went wrong here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJyl1Mejd6yZj6w.html

    It's a great plugin I use just as needed as you explained. Also like the idea of a 9.1.4 option to give a wider option in front for orchestral stuff like this. I know several mixers that are doing that now. This is great though Alex! BTW did you do the mix here for this single? I was on a call and forgot, if you did the mix, how much life filtering did you have to do on this? I'm finding that it varies when outputting your mix how much you actually need with certain music. I know the rule is always flter the low frequencies., but sometimes they are just not there in certain types of music.. I do keep an eye on it though.

    respect bro im jamaican and those transformers are gold that is how i think a song to be mixed it should summed to analog to notch out the digital sound im waiting for the price of freaktubes to drop to get me one because i have been telling so many socalled engineers in jamaica that plugins alone can't hit the grammy or billboard chart even when you bring your tracks to a professional mastering engineer they run it trough some analog circuits to get that sound even the ad/da converters has analog circuits transformers resistors high end capacitors or tubes thanks again bro now you convince me.
