I think the way our society is going, Learning how to fix your own car and buying a car that is easy enough for you to fix is going to do people very well in the long run. You don't gotta be an engine rebuilder. Just learn how to do your own oil and change simple things. You'll save money and you will know what kind of shape your vehicle is in.

FICO is a scam, it is a system designed to keep you in debt. You become a slave to FICO always chasing that high credit score. Pay off a car loan with all on time payments or pay it off early with all on time payments and your FICO score will drop, pay off your mortgage with all on time payments or pay it off early with all on time payments your FICO score will drop. Those are facts. Our FICO scores went down when we paid off your mortgage, never a late payment and we paid it off early by two years. Our FICO scores went down when we paid off our truck we bought new and paid it off in 6 months. Our FICO scores went down when we paid off our new car we paid it off in 25 months. FICO is a losing game that will bury you in debt for life.

This idea of "buying garbage- literal garbage" is actually hitting hard!! Thank you ❤ I'm going to start asking beforeIbuy something, "Is this actually garbage?" I have changed my shopping habits towards saving and buying quality, but not with everything. This mindset shift is going to serve me well 🎉🎉🎉

I live in community housing, which means i can plant trees in my yard whenever i like ❤ i have multiple citrus trees, a fig, an apple, and a walnut tree. I also have 2 dwarf mulberry bushes, which feed the birds more than me 🐦 😂 it is a beautiful feeling to watch a tree you planted grow over the years ❤

And small online retailers are caught in the middle - it's incredibly difficult to get the word out about your product these days, you obviously don't want to annoy your customers / potential customers, but playing these email games is one of the only effective marketing tactics left for small businesses. The mega corporations pushed us into this mess.

Even people with kids need to plan for their own needs. Kids are no guarantee. Plus, while adult children can help, they are not necessarily able to be full time caregivers.

Usually the clothes gets shifted between branches. I think most clothes donated to one shop isn't sold in that shop but in another branch of the same charity shop. So the argument that resellers dont shop on low income areas is null and void. Because stuff gets repriced at each branch, but the chances of it getting taken off that market by a reseller is spread between areas. But i do think that resellers curate clothes so the market they reach and types of items they sell are different. I think theres just such a variety of womens clothes being sold, not all of it particularly practical. I do see resellers selling mens jeans and t ahirts though which i do think is something very universal that everyone wants and needs. Womens clothing is more varied in my opinion.Charity shops have so many mens suits tho which i think is because of fashion and business wear changing and the fact it takes some effort to find one that fits well. I think the prime example is the carhart jackets that used to be workwear for manual work becoming a hipster staple, same with new stanley cups that used to ba an outdoors mens eco staple and are now a dead short lived overconsumed fad.

I don’t even want to buy it second hand because I know it won’t fit well or last. The way goodwill will try to mark $12 for a shein shirt that most definitely cost $5 max is a crime. 90% of my closet is goodwill and it’s all extremely high quality, even my tanks and sweats.

I think my least favorite excuse from people saying that they buy from shien because their country doesn't make their sizes. Oh yes, lets complain about not finding clothes big enough while buying from a company that doesn't pay their employees enough to get to your size 🥴 The Audacity. The privilege. The ignorance is astounding. Learn how to sew. Learn how to eat a balanced diet. Learn how to be a better person with excuses that will actually hold weight. Cause your excuses are going to buckle like your knees.

The problem is wage theft and obscene CEO pay packages. Need I remind ya'all these are the same people who spent $250,000 each to off themselves at the bottom of the ocean to look at something that can easily be seen in pics online??? They knew it was a possibility because the release they had to sign mentioned it like 6 different times!! These people don't care how much a gallon of milk costs!

Referencing the title of the '87 Dead Kennedys album "Give me convenience OR give me death", it seems like people have been asking for quite some time. Although the title is satire, there's a point to make something satire. I do agree that convenience is becoming a problem in some aspects.

the marketing used (everywhere, for everything) is so based on selling the idea that only those products can meet our specific needs and then our hyper independent society has us believing that relying on others is both a burden on them and an indicator that we aren’t working hard enough, so i think we believe convenience is our way to work harder and smarter without burdening others 😗 but really it’s a lie that keeps working class people in the overconsumption cycle 😔

Couldn’t agree more - as I engage in commenting on an online post 😅 - the convenience leads us to a false sense of community that once the screen goes black, the reality of our lives floods in. It’s hard to moderate screen time and other modern conveniences as they provide the dopamine we crave to make it through the difficulties we face regularly. It’s an interesting time in humanity for sure

It's a tragic thing that wokeology sometimes gets conflated with anticapitalism. Wokeology is actually narcissistic abuse, and capitalism, in some of their darkest forms. *I mean they/thems darkest form*. I've never heard a valid argument in favor of capitalism. Proponents of capitalism only ever try to implement gaslighting and/or logical fallacies. Really. Try to have a sane, civil, honest conversation with any proponent of capitalism, and they'll prove my point. But if you like all manner of products within the capitalst matrix, if you own a business, and have employees. and you still want a much more sane and harmonious economic system, You're Not A Fucking Hypocrite. Don't let them silence you with that weak argument . It would be just as ridiculous to argue that one is a hypocrite for drinking city tap water, when they had no other options , and therefore one shouldn't be able consider better sources of water. Narcissistic personality disorder is an epedemic. And when they project "well the problem is nobody wants to work. " Ask them what landlords even fucking do . Ask them what the CEO of Starbucks actually does . Etc. No shade at seasons of nondoership. But shade @ projection. "so much depression, anxiety, stress & suicidality is caused by capitalism. we really really need to talk about how not being able to meet our basic needs and how giving away 80% of our days to jobs that drain & exploit us leads to serious mental health issues for a lot of people" - Alexis Isabel #yin #yang #ballance #unity #unitywithin But not so much wokeology

I repeatedly told my doctor my symptoms and was ignored. I then ended up in emergency where they did blood work that showed truponon and also an ecg that showed a cardiac infarct that they couldn’t determine the timing of it. They released me saying they didn’t think I was a cardiac patient. I had a. Heart attack two weeks later and an angiogram showed my LAD was 100% blocked and calcified. The doctor said the only reason I was alive was because my heart had grown collateral vessels . They also said I had to have been experiencing symptoms for about ten years. Yes. The exact timing that I started telling my family doctor my symptoms. And yet…still I am gaslit when I go to the doctor. I’m so sick of our healthcare system. Pun not intended but that works out well

I'm going through this too. as a cardiac patient as well. I have a congenital heart defect and they keep acting like they have no duty to diagnose exactly what it is. they keep telling me my symptoms especially the pain in my chest and back aren't real or aren't possible. they are CONSTANTLY telling me it's impossible to have chest pain with heart conditions. I literally do not understand it. I work in the healthcare industry myself but you don't need to be in healthcare to know HEART ISSUES CAUSE PAIN
