Hello and welcome! It's great that you've stumbled across my channel.
Here you'll see a range of mostly brass instrument related content ranging from serious performances including multi-tracks and solos, to educational videos about music theory, as well as a fair share of reviews, and the odd smattering of unusual instruments and joke content.
I hope there's something here that you'll find interesting.
I own a four slice toaster.

What brands is this cimbasso?
I always prefer to hear soprano trombone play not with trumpet mouthpiece, 3 of the best soprano trombone sound I ever heard have custom wider rim flugelhorn and alto horn mouthpiece, and one that is totally custom that is similar to alto trombone mouthpiece
I'm pretty sure the 3rd valve is NOT tuned to be used alone. That would be a pretty dumb design, since it's not being used alone anyway. AFAIK it's designed so that the 2+3 combination is in tune ( 4 semitones )

The pinky hook is a bit awkward, but it's there for a reason. Check out the extrusion at the back end of the outer slide. It's very sharp. Without that guard, you can take a pretty good chunk out of your pinky.
I bought one. It arrived in a plastic bag, from China, to London. Remarkably, hardly dented. I will say, they appear to be very consistent instruments, because the intonation on mine is EXACTLY the same. Bach can't say the same.

I need this because my arms are too short to reach past 5th position
Trumpet trying to fit in with the low brass:
wow, i expected it to sound like a euphonium!
Is it heavy? My 6 year old daughter said she wants to play the Tuba maybe this is a solution because it is smaller in size 🤣💖
My takeaways from this video: 1. Hot glue is hot. 2. "Ow! Ow! Cauliflower." 3. Saying "...and there is no reason that this shouldn't be a roaring success!" over and over again will not make it so.
idek but i cant stop laughing at this one part 14:00
Horrible sound.
Wow awesome!
Qual o nome desse instrumento? Eu gostei do tamanho e queria saber qual era
BELLISSIMO VIDEO ❤❤❤.
Why is it in F# then?? Is it really reeeaally sharp?
Where can I get one of the chraveling chubas?
I find little difference in the sound. But also important is the feeling while playing.
Radetsky?
As far as the rose brass lead pipe goes, it actually does make a difference compared to the regular yellow brass. Not only does rose brass give it a little bit warmer tone, but it's also corrosion resistant and less likely to get corroded as opposed to your basic yellow brass
90% talk 10% sound of instrument..

I went to a music store/repair shop recently that had several pro instruments that they were selling, including several pro level trumpets. The specific examples that I tried were a vintage Selmer radial trumpet that was finished in lacquer, A vintage Bach Stradivarius number 37 finished in silver plate, and a semi vintage F. Besson Kanstul that was also finished in silver plate. I played all three of those examples on a schilke 13a4a mouthpiece. It could have had something to do with either the overall designs of the instruments or maybe even possibly the age differences and how old they were, but I did notice a difference between the lacquered trumpet compared to the two silver plate trumpets as far as tone. I did feel like the silver vibrated a little more freely and gave a bit brighter and more sparkly of a sound. I don't think I'm going to experience that with every single trumpet that I try in the future, but that's just my experience
To make it even more impractical, you might try holding it across like a flute if that is possible.
It’s adorable
If you took them both outdoors and had the microphone 100 yards away, you'd soon capture the true intent of the mellophone. Flugels are better indoors and more of a soloist instrument, mellophones are better in a line of about 12 of them playing FFF and pushing the bleachers back 10 feet.

If I could only afford to buy as many brass instruments as you have...
😂
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
professional camera angle
Thank you. it can be used as a Christmas gift ornament
It’s sounds like magic but how long could you realistically play it without passing out?
Charles G. Conn not only built a musical instrument business, he also was a newspaper man, a politician (Mayor of Elkhart and a US Representative) and, like Eli Lilly of pharma fame, a Civil War officer in the Union Army.
Mouthpiece is still gigantic
this low brass player has exceptionally good embouchure control and plays audible, clear notes in the bass cleft, NOT nasty incoherent splats. Good Musician!!

What did I just watch???
I’d really love to try playing the cimbasso someday.

Pygmy tuba
The seriousness, the effort, the work that went into this nine-minute video! Glorious.
