I had a great transition with this song.... First time I heard it years ago, it had a meaning all of its own. Now, years later it has taken on an entirely different meaning. Neither of them related but the love inside that this song touches and awakens has been a liberating experience. liberating

And my mum and i would play this alburn coming home from the hospice and i would find the tears would start streaming down my face. love to you and r.i.p dad always rememberd

My mother and I always had a bond around music. Everything that I know and love about music I can directly attribute to her. When she was diagnosed with Cancer I had just started listening to Mumford and Sons, and for some reason I choose to play this song for her, never really hearing it before. We both loved it. We both cried. This song will always be me wanting to hold on to hope that my Mother was going to be alright. It's been 6 years, since she passed, not a day goes by that I don't think about her or my father who I lost in 2018. Someday, I'll get to see them again, till then, I'll just keep coming back to this song whenever I want to remember her smile.
