sounds like 3 or 4 guitarists in some parts., someone told me that people do not really appreciate how much Randy helped with the production of this album compensating for a limited budget and the original producer being let go.

that's absurd to think they are as equally as important, Don is awesome. But he was not the guy on Diary of a Madman and that album turned out better. Don also made a bad decision to play to Randy's rhythm tracks live which drowned out some of the guitar on the recordings and no offense to don, no one was coming to hear him play.

I agree. While Bob D is most often associated with bringing out the "best" in RR I think Don's influence and support really helped foster the inclusion of classical inspiration. I just wish Don hadn't urged Randy to go for that ride......

Waiting Man and Two Hands. Those are both drum parts. Thing is that on Waiting Man, Bill and Adrian drum together. Two Hands uses the same drum style as The Sheltering Sky off of Discipline, as far as Im aware. Anyway, HOW DID THINK CLEARLY PERCUSSION TRACKS WERENT PERCUSSION!?

It's so great to hear them both in isolation! I think a lot of people think that it's just Bruford on drums but Jamie is often playing double drums with Bill in the opposite channel. For example when the drums come in on Larks 1 Bill is playing a simple beat on the ride and Jamie is playing along to the riff with the china. Another example is during Cross's solo in Larks 2, there is audibly 2 drum parts going on simultaneously. I think the title of this video should have both of their names in it.
