does anyone know what frame this FC fits?.. NBD and BFPV frames dont work due to the video plug.
Once I turned off the telemetry on my jumper t lite radio my rssi values increased from 60 to 80. Thanks a lot

Very likely algae. Farmers tend to use too much manure, it leaks to the ground water and gets into other bodies of water. Nice drone flight, though 😅
I have seen algae invade a pond before, but not like this 🙄 The color is so thick and saturated, really looks like paint. I should visit the place again 💡
“Jello” 🍮 is one of the most destructive artifacting that can occur in video 😱 It is caused by the rolling shutter of the camera and the vibration of your drone interfering with each other. It mostly reveals itself in full sun and in windy conditions ☀💨 Once recorded it is nearly impossible to repair 😡
Thanks for the test!! Such a good real life comparison. I was on the fence to do one myself till i found your video. I wanted to test it because in my mind it should be the other way round: More efficiency with pushers. It would make sense because the air from top can come from all directions and is very slow and therefore should produce less drag. In contrast to the air under the prop, which is very fast, the obstruction should produce much more drag and turbulence, which should cost a lot of energy. (Example: You can´t "suck out" a candle but blow it out with ease.) So i don´t really understand why pushers are less efficient... any guess?
The only conclusion that I can make is that clean air-input is more efficient than clean output. So if your props are obstructed by struts, make sure the air is blown through them. And not sucked trough the struts like in the Tiny Hawk design. Trouble is that in most pusher-types the props are already obstructed by at least one vertical strut above the prop. And also the fact you can’t put a vertical strut underneath (on top of the motor) as a reference. For a real test between a push and pull setup you should install a motor on a vertical stick and rotate props and motor direction. I wonder what efficiency you can get out of them? I’ll bet you push and pull are almost the same. But in practice I see pushers having a disadvantage because their Air-input is never clean, although they fly like on rails. Maybe that’s the sacrifice most conventional whoop-frames make? Less control, but a higher efficiency in comparison to something like the very distinct and fun flight-characteristics of the Tiny Hawk. Hope I make sense. Are you still going to do a test relating to push and pull?

This must be the reason why all these GPS drones have a very low and controlled decent-rate?🤔 For now, this seems the most “delicate” part of my flights in Angle-mode 🛸

Even when doing “sub 250gr, max 10kmh, stabilized cinematic angle-mode cruising”, don’t FPV without a spotter! 👮🧍♂🔭 My goggles have a modified nose-shaft 👃👓 so I can see the Drone, the ground and the info from my OSD 👀🏞 Noise, privacy- and copyright infringements are the real hazards here. Which are another set of reasons to keep away from people and choose your location and time of day very carefully. Film & Fly safe 🛸
Hey, I am ok-smart with FPV but kind of an electronics noob. What does the capacitor do for this build? Stumbled upon your video since I also want to switch to XT30 :)
With or without a capacitor, I’m convinced you’ll make a gigantic step forwards when transferring to XT30. Myself; I experimenting with PARALLEL 2x-PH2.0 to 1x-XT30 adapters (doubling amp not voltage). I need the capacitor to dampen out saggies and spikes for a smoother flight. I was really blown away during my first test-flight on just 1S. It was an entirely different drone. Its flight was so smooth, like on rails. Now I don’t want to transfer this unit to 85mm and 1102’s anymore. Think I’m going to keep it as a little cruiser. Might even install an HD cam.

@@drdrhelmut If you can; I would get XT30 with and without capacitor and test them independently. A cap of 100uF and its brand-quality are a set of variables that can influence you adversely. Keep us posted.

It’s an URUAV UZ85 DIY Whoop, installed on a Geelang Geelang WASP 100mm toothpick frame; CrazybeeX F4 FR FC with 1102’s 10000kv motors. I have done pretty nasty stuff to the board, it’s still alive. Pretty solid thus far. Only 1 bad solder on the URUAV motors.
Phase 1 of testing this Crazybee F4 Lite on “2S” 🔋🔋 with a PARALLEL 2x-PH2.0 to 1x-XT30 adapter. This will double the amps, not the voltage❗ Using a SERIAL adapter, or a real 2S battery (anything higher than 4.35v) will in all probability FRY 🔥 this Crazybee F4 Lite board, so don’t ⛔ This was my test-run on just a 1S-XT30 battery and it really surprised me!
Is the capacitor just because you want to use 2s? I just did the same to mobula7 1s but without the cap. It made quite a difference. I think the added weight is balanced by the extra juice it has. But it's definitely increased flight times as the sag was drastically improved.
@@pox122229 Yeah! Smooth as butter, like on rails, even outdoors! Very impressed, but I can also feel it lost its "sharpness", which is a price I'll glady pay if I can keep using it so comfortably on 1S XT30. First test-flight with parallel 2xph2.0 2S to 1xXT30 adapter was so so... but it worked. I might go higher with 2xXT30 to 1xXT30 in parallel for a better quality cable. What I produced has too many resistances (solder) points. Cool experiment though, I think nobody could imagine this little 1S FC to fly with 1200mAh in the tank 😁Limitation are the Motors. I think 1202.5's @ 10000kv are the max I can fly on 1S. But that's really stretching it.

When it comes to retail pusher-whoops, there is only 1 manufacturer: EMAX with its TINYHAWK SERIES! Popular due to its distinctive flight characteristics. Described as "very locked in, like on rails", these whoops are also not very efficient or suited for outdoors, but inside they fly like a dream. Maybe more suited for "flat-out racing" where efficiency and practicality aren't priorities?
The most difficult part of these conversions was modifying and changing out the props, most of them from manufacturer Gemfam, notorious for being really tight and hard to remove… 🙌😬 This tightness can also be a plus of course, but I still can't feel the tips of my fingers...🙌!
⚠ There is a good reason why most drone-cars have a switch to change between Flight- and Drive mode. Besides it requiring a lot of tinkering to get a nice transition between Air and Ground under just 1 configuration. It also demands a lot of “finesse” to seamlessly transfer from Flight to Drive! 🥵Expect to be crashing a lot when you start!
My 2019 ROG is unplayable. My 2022 ROG will run at highest settings on battery in silent mode. What a difference 3 years makes!

I also fixed my low throttle on 1S 🤖🚀 But by now I’m pretty much convinced that 2S 🛸is the way to go. I might rotate the battery-tray 90 degrees 🤔
On "whoops" (propellor-guarded mini-drones) all my methods for dampening out jello 🍮 (vibration in the video) resulted in really bad flight-characteristics 😒🥌 This modification however, is a gigantic step forwards!🚀🛸🤖🥳🙏

I didn’t crop-in the stabilized video, but placed a non-stabilized layer underneath. So with fast movements you’ll see a shift at the edges which looks pretty cool. And works as a great indicator how the micro is doing outside in the wind 💨
My x-lite doesn’t show the option to turn off telemetry. Are you in D8 or D16?
If you are having trouble, first do a range-test; with and without Video recording. My main problem was that the HD recording had such an big impact on this 1S Whoop that it severely reduced range and stability. Disabling Telemetry gave me some extra range. And eventually moving over to the Redpine Protocol (which has no Telem and is also integrated in the SPI receiver) fixed all issues when recording. Never had a drop after that. My VTX range at 25mW is now its weak point.

By “REAL 2S” I mean 2 batteries running in SERIES with an XT30 power connector. Instead of 2 individual batteries connected through a parallel ph2.0 connector to XT30.

⚠️ Besides the assault on your system memory when using the Warp Stabilizer, also the size of your Project and its preview- and data-folders will increase to gigantic proportions!
The 1S XT30 batteries I use at the end, might be the best thing since sliced bread 🍞 Testing them on my UZ85 Whoop variant atm 🛸🚀🛰👍 They are much better suited than the 2S serial adapter 🥳

This was my 1st flight using the UZ85 as TOOTHPICK on 2S 🔋🔋 while carrying a Caddx Loris Split-camera 🎥 Take of Weight 85 Gram 🚁 Flying at 1S 🔋 definitely feels a lot better, but at 2S the Toothpick is a more stable (cinematic) platform outdoors 💨
At 2S the Video-quality 🎥 is definitely better, but this also makes the Toothpick nowhere as Fun to fly as with 1S 🚀 Also its minuscule Noise-Print 🔇 at 1S🔋 makes flying this contraption a very Serene experience 😇 And it flight-times 🕐 are the longest I have seen so far.

I first suspected a badly mounted motor, even some trouble with the FC. But I have already tested Bottom-plate V3, which is a lot more flexible and consists of a very simple "component material"; plastic, cardboard and tape. The Whoop now Flies and Sounds a lot better. I still need to record some footage with the V3 plate , but I'm waiting on a decent amount of ☀ here.
