Kent hughes is a man who got a first round pick to aquire sean monahan and also one to get rid of him. He got a frist for toffoli, a first for ben chariot, a second for brett kulak. I hate to break it to you but your not getting arber for a third. They value him way to much. They see him as part of the core. You need to overpay for him. Better off trying for harris or barron .

What does the Canucks have to offer that would interest Montreal? I don't see anyone that is a realistic trade chip. Also, Arber Xhekaj is not available, 0% on that happening. But I get it!! it's nice to dream right? But be realistic, Arber Xhekaj is not getting traded... at least not in the next couple of years. UNLESS you grossly overpay, but again this brings me to my first statement, what does the Canucks have to offer that would really interest Montreal?

Canucks are smart to look at Montreal. Habs have a stuffed prospect pool on defense. Even with the players the host spoke on there are still more prospects pushing up like Lane Hutson, Adam Engstrpm & Bogdan Konyushkov. This doesnt even list the core of Laval dmen(not incl Mailloux) and this years draftee Owen Protz who could be Xhekaj 2.0. Every said, the Habs must move some dmen. The problem is how well all these kids have played so far in the NHL makes it difficult for management to move a couple out. Xhekaj although is going to cost more than a 3rd for sure however like Guhle I dont think Montreal management have any interest in moving him. It would take a lot to get them thinking. Struble Harris & Barron are all NHL dmen and make a nice fit. NOTE- big fan of Juulsen. A former 1st rd pick of Habs who started so strong and then completely knock down due to injuries. I hope he recovers everything he can of his pro career...He is a dude you just want to cheer for

Miller is exactly the player that every city wants to have. Unlimited heart, top talent, and amazing in the community. Saw this quote in regards to him being asked whether he wanted a trade: J.T. Miller: "Not any part of me ever wanted to go somewhere else. Why would I want to leave something that I've always been looking for?" To top it off, I have a story from this spring. My sister was out to dinner with the fam for one of my Niece's birthdays. My niece thinks she spies Miller at the restaurant but the adults say it probably isn't him. She's convinced it is so goes up and introduces herself and asks if it is him. He affirms and she asks for a birthday selfie, which he obliges. Great experience and when they finish the meal (Miller and his fam had left already), they find he's paid for their meal! Solidified himself as my favorite current player, goes above and beyond and really just loves the city.

Great guest! Positive, funny and knowledgeable. Loved the man! You should have him on again! As for Lekkerimäki, he is 3 inches shorter that EP40 but weighs a few llbs. more. No fat. He has a smart, sneaky, and accurate shot. Very good in tight spaces. He has never had NHL players on his line. Certainly no EP40. He should get NHL level coaching to find his lanes on a smaller ice, so he doesn't get destroyed. Then again, he's very sneaky, perhaps he will surprise us all. Odds are that he will start in the AHL to find his lanes, and moved up for experience, or earlier if Canucks struggle with scoring since Rock Tocchet (disastrously) tried his hand at actually coaching, instead of sorting shampoo bottles in the showers.

@@LockedOnCanucks I do not. For the Penguins, he wasn't much more than a waterboy. The Canucks were running on rails, until Rick Toochet thought he could coach after the All-Star break. We all know how that went... I even called that he will destroy the goalies because they cannot stand on their heads every night to save his terrible coaching decisions. That is my most deadly prediction. And this makes me sad. He is a cancer and needs to go.

I doubt Boeser would be fit enough to skate on a big ice. He can't skate... or pass... and it takes too much energy for a line to spoon-feed a fridge in front of the net. I doubt Boeser is a good enough skater to get to corners or off the ice quickly enough without being a liability on a bigger ice surface. However, I think he will do great on a team where he is spoon-fed on different lines, without making a team more predictable than the Canucks were in the playoffs and on the PP especially.

Boeser gets 40 if spoon-feed again, which would render the rest of the powerplay for the whole team and clutch games (and playoffs...) completely useless. He'll feast on weak teams in the regular season again but can't do anything on his own when it matters. A traffic cone bolted to the ice could have scored half the goals that he did this season. The most pathetic part is that he actually celebrates goals that bounced off his arse and skates. Sadly, most teams probably agree with me, so his trade value is probably that of rotting hotdogs. However, he will do fine on a second line when spoon-feed... on a stronger team.

Tocchet is a cancer... as he has been on every team he ever been part of as a towel boy and pretend assistant coach. The Canucks were coasting until the All-Star break when Tocchet decided he would try coaching for the first time in his life. Ruined the chemistry... forced the goalies to stand on their heads every f'n night to cover for his poor coaching decisions. He ran the goalies 100% every night, even against garbage teams - surprise! No goalies for the the playoffs! AND utter confusion in players. Toochet should be replaced by a dirty pillow.
