  International fans misunderstood MengLan. He actually thinks he got kidnapped from his favorite hairband nanny, bc he is from ChengDu base like a lot of pandas. There is actually funny story of people trying to release the former san Diego zoo panda GaoGao back into the wild, but two times he spends a 1year and 2 years finding his way back. Now GaoGao won't let anymore mention nanny Yang (his former caretaker) in his presence bc he's still mad at nanny Yang.

  Menglan is considered the cleverest panda in China. From an early age, he knew how to respond to NANNY's conversations, and he would also help his nanny bring home panda who was unwilling to go home ( by climbing on the tree and pushing the panda down the tree). He would also help his friend trapped in the fence to come out. Yesterday, he went on Weibo hot search again because he did several sit-ups with standardized movements. Everyone laughed and said that he was preparing for his next prison break. He yearns for freedom very much. The space in the zoo is too small (because the land price here is very high. Probably property price over 20000 USD per square meter) So the zoo has tried its best to meet his requirement. The good news is that the new Beijing Panda Base will probably be completed next year. It's in the suburbs, where they have more space for activities and play China has released several pandas to the wild before, many of them died tragically. I saw their story and shed a lot of tears. Menglan's combat effectiveness is not good, and it will be impossible for him to survive when encountering wild giant pandas in the wild I live near the Beijing Zoo. I often go to see him. Lots of people here like him. There were already many people watching him there around 7 o'clock in the morning. I love him very much. He is a super cute panda. Smart, lively, outgoing, and very kind. The birds in his yard were fed by him and became as fat as he was. He didn't go to eat his food until the bird had finished eating. "The bird used his fur to build a nest, and he wasn't angry either. To me, he is the cutest panda. He is also half brother of the panda Hehua. 笔记

  Meng Lan is obviously smarter than the rest and recognizes that he is in captivity. I feel sorry for this panda. Maybe something bigger will make it better for him.

  Why are their colors like that? Black ears on a white head, what natural advantage do they get from it? Oh wait, it’s the best one ever, it makes them so freaking cute that humans will do anything to protect these creatures. 👍

  That doesn’t look like a very nice enclosure. He can probably see the greenery outside and wants to reach it. Pandas are so intelligent and surprisingly agile. I hope he was ok in the end and the zoo improved his surroundings! 😢

  Smart panda 🐼 and adorably 🥰 cute round head panda love 💕 has Amazing balance on that ball !!! Some people can’t stay on top of a ball w/o falling off much less stay on it long enough to figure his way up & out to other side of the fence.
