This game has a really great concept, and I could see my friends and I playing it in it's current state for at least 30 minutes. I think the list you had at the end was far too much for what you should be focusing on. I'd say take what you have, and double down on it. Stay at sea, add more fish and more upgrades, maybe multiplayer if you are comfortable with networking, and you'll have a great game! EDIT: Remember, don't try to appease everybody, focus on your target audience.

Thanks for the feedback! Multiplayer wasn't something I thought of, but now that you bring it up, that could be really fun fishing with friends, either cooperatively or competitively. And yeah trying to turn a fishing game into an open world exploration one is probably overscoping a bit lol. Thanks for watching!

Love the animation of the skeletons rising from their graves and the unexpected way they can attack by throwing their arm at a knight. It is mesmerizing to watch the characters move after they are threaded. Good job putting together a game with a random needle requirement. You are so creative!

Wow! I joined to that jam too! But since I made a game for the TriJam game jam, I didn't have enough time to make a game also for the mini jam! I really like video like this and the gameplay is very good too! Good job!

I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but the video compression just isn't able to keep up with you here lol.

The video compression is doing some weird stuff to your backgrounds for some reason. Getting all kinds of stripes and checkerboards.

Yeah, KZread's compression can be brutal. unfortunately there's only so much I can do on my side to improve the artifacts from youtube. I'll keep trying out different stuff to see If I can make it better

Very charming game. A potential idea could be certain merchants would pay extra/offer another reward for specific fish.

as someone who has implemented the chaos game multiple times, this must be the most thorough exploration of this concept! I'm curious how you got the point size to be thaaat small. I used Processing for it and even the smallwst point size is still maybe too big for what you showed.

Thanks for watching! I used a mix of p5js and motioncanvas to render these. I used a point size of .5 for the detailed fractals. I was a little surprised a point size < 1 worked, but it really helped add detail imo.

Please make a video about how this is used to do cool things :D (for example, you mention this is used for procedural gen, remeshing, textures, lighting. How is it used to do these things?) Great video :3
