Nice Rifles and bullets, but I just can't justify it to myself to pay more for budget deer hunts I'm keen to go on each season. The rifles and reload bullets I use are "tack drivers" so it makes no sense to me to get an expensive rifle set up.

Either way works but I prefer to start slipping on short final. Don't the pros use the one technique for passenger comfort?? My passengers usually don't mind a good slip.

ive used FFP in the timber and you cant even see the reticle. Id say the odds of FFP costing you a up close timber shot is higher then a SFP scope costing you a long shot because you forgot to be on the highest power when holding off on a long shot

I neck size my 7 mag brass. No special dies just set full length die to size next only. After they are fire formed i get sub moa accuracy and case life is outstanding. The belt is irrelevant.

There are actually two components to the Coriolis effect. They can be demonstrated in the following scenarios: 1) You are on the equator, shooting exactly east. The target will rotate down during the bullet's flight, so your bullet will hit high on the target. 2) You are on the north pole, firing in any direction (which means, always south, no matter what). The target will rotate left during the bullet's flight, so your bullet will hit to the right side of the target. Most of the time we are not on the equator or the pole, so both these effects will contribute. In the northern hemisphere, if we are shooting east, the bullet will hit high and to the right. If we are shooting west, the bullet will hit low and to the right. If we are shooting south, the first effect does not contribute, so your bullet will hit on the right side of the target. There is no force involved; the effect happens because the Earth is a rotating frame of reference.

The Elk (Cervus canadensis), also known as the wapiti is a large deer species native to North America and Eastern Asia, it is the largest of the six extant deer species constituting the genus Cervus and the second largest deer species alive today, with only the Moose (Alces alces) being larger, the closest living relative of the elk is the Hangul (Cervus hanglu) that resides in Central Asia, there are fifteen known subspecies of elk: the Tibetan Elk (Cervus canadensis wallichii), the Kansu Elk (Cervus canadensis kansuensis), the Sichuan Elk (Cervus canadensis macneilli), the Mongolian Elk (Cervus canadensis mongoliensis), the Alashan Elk (Cervus canadensis alashanicus), the Tian Shan Elk (Cervus canadensis songaricus), the Manchurian Elk (Cervus canadensis xanthopygus), the †Korean Elk (Cervus canadensis coreanus), the Siberian Elk (Cervus canadensis sibiricus), the Roosevelt Elk (Cervus canadensis roosevelti), the Rocky Mountain Elk (Cervus canadensis nelsoni), the Tule Elk (Cervus canadensis nannodes), the †Merriam's Elk (Cervus canadensis merriami), the Manitoba Elk (Cervus canadensis manitobensis), and the †Algonquin Elk (Cervus canadensis canadensis).

Elk hunting strategies with me: Have lots of money and buy tags from private land owners. Then when every time you get to hunt, act like like it's the opportunity of a lifetime filled with all the passion in the world. 🙄

I have a friend who hunted in Colorado for years and never killed. I went on a guided hunt in New Mexico and studied how the guides worked and what calls to use. We went to Colorado the next year and i called a bull in for him. We have been killing elk for 25 years now. Best times of my life

Just curious here, does anybody else question the entire preset turret deal. In my experience shooting angle temp and humidity play a big part in determining my adjustment. Particularly shooting angle. Was in Colorado on a mule deer elk hunt and was shooting the rifle at some rocks. It was about at a 7 degree angle at 650 yards. The first shot with no angle adjustment was a clean miss, ones made adjustments for angle(1.75. Moa difference less) I hit first shot

Great footage! I'm in love with the 28 Nosler. In the last 5-6 years it's the only caliber I've reached for other than a couple Pronghorn with the 6.5. I went 12 for 12 last year on elk, mule deer and South Africa with the 28!

I have to ask, is there any designed compatibility in that O ring sight system so it can work with breechloading "centerfire" guns as you call them? I was talk to shoot with Irons and apature sights and they are a soft spot for me.

You are talking velocity doesn't really count anymore. Then you say wind is the thing that is hardest to read. Wouldn't velocity help negate the inaccurate wind reading
