Mustang is one of the greatest guitars....I have one, I have isntalled a Hotrail in the bridge, the 24 scale is incredible fun to play, the tone of my guitar is huge, the distortion sound so big...much bigger than my strat and tele..... my model is a 2022 MIM....so I dont have complex electronics or tremolo.... its quite simple and perfect.... deeply in love of this guitar!
To be fair by his own admission he barely made it out of high school. His videography is top notch, some of his music intros are great but coherent thought and speech craft aren’t his strong suits.
Dont you have a lot of problems with the feedback? 😢
I have never gigged with it on a stage so I cannot tell about feedback on that setting. However, have played it on loud volume (100 - 120 db) in my room with tube amp and pedals, and did not notice feedback.
Beautiful playing.
Glad you like it! Thanks for listening 🥰
Ah enfin une vidéo avec un excellent son clean ❤ c'est en écoutant ce que donnent les guitares en clean que l'on peut se faire une idée 👌 excellente vidéo merci
The clean sound is really amazing on this guitar! Thanks for watching
Such a beautiful guitar, both visibly and audibly. If they drop the double-cut I may be convinced to buy yet another guitar.
Yeah, I hope they make a double cut!
Great tones out of that guitar. Is that the one with P-90-style pickup construction? (Edit: 3/4 through this video I finally figured out what RHCP stood for, I'm such an idiot. 😅)
Lols. This model has a jazzmaster pickup. Thanks for watching!
Excellent review style. Just play louder with a bit more conviction, less reverb too. 👍
Thanks for the advise. ☺️
How come that Looks like actual TV yellow and every Epiphone LP Special Ive seen looks Mustard colour ?
It depends on the lighting I suppose. In this video, I tried to color correct it as similar in reality as possible.
Honestly, this is a great idea! While a trained ear can often get an idea of the character of a guitar's tone despite differences in rig, post-production, and playing style, this particular scenario is much more objective in its approach and can really highlight the more nuanced differences even to the untrained ear. The possible downside would be regular viewers tiring of hearing the "same old riffs", but I for one would be interested.
Thanks for the feedback! I will be posting the first 2 guitars this weekend. Hope you’ll have time to watch it. 😊
Sounds great, and great playing.
thanks!
😂 I like Rhett but he absolutely sounded like a d#ck in this video. I am buying a P90 Revstar in the next 2 weeks but I just can’t get past the Yamahaness of it. Maybe because everything I’ve ever owned that is Yamaha is amazing quality.
Best Revstar video 👍 I am getting mine tomorrow 😃😎😜🤓😍🤩
thanks! Enjoy your new guitar!
That is why I unsubscribed from Rhett long time ago, he became a puppet...I stopped watching "big youtubers" gear reviews as they are not objective. "Video is sponsored but all thoughts and opinions are mine" LOL..."but if i say something bad about the product, they stop sending stuff...but Gibson is the best anyway"
😀👍
This has been the most bare bones, simple/ honest guitar demoing I've watched for a long time. Bravo !!!
Thanks for the appreciation! 🥰
Nah.no thanks
☺️
I bought this guitar 4 days ago when I first got it I thought the neck was fat and not brilliant after a set up and with a low action and 9 guage strings I now think it's one of the best guitars I own
Congratulations on your new guitar! I also use 9s and it’s a breeze to play! Let’s enjoy it as much as we can! 😊👍
Brilliant, but it would help if you played a little without reverb etc so that we could hear the actual guitar.
thanks! Yeah, I hope I could redo it but the guitar is no longer with me 😥
Nice
Thanks
It sound's phantastic. Could you give us your height adjustment of the pickups betweet the lowest and the highest strings? Big thank you!
Thanks! The guitar is no longer with me. But my setup for that was (String depressed at the last fret) For neck: 3.5mm on bass side and 2mm on treble For bridge: 2.5mm on bass and 1.5 mm treble this is to compensate volume of the bridge. Hope this helps. Let me know the results. 😊
Super. Thank you very much. ❤❤
i would get a yamaha if i didn’t have a guitar i love right now
Oh I see...what's your guitar now?
Just bought one of these because of this video. Gretsch owes you some money! Thank you sir!
Wow thanks! Enjoy your new guitar!
Yes .I noticed this right away. I still love my S.G. anyway.
👍
This guitar is next on my list....look forward to owning one.🤘😎
Nice! Is it available where you from?
Retired guitar tech here. Sorry for answering after such a long time of the release of this vid. The trapezoid tailpiece : dismount and glue a piece of felt to it where it touches the top. Try to get strings with that little piece of plush at the ball-end. A short piece of heat shrink tube as an alternative. As several comments suggest, add small springs between saddles and bridge, or touch up with clear fingernail polish or glue, on all joints of saddles with the base of the bridge. Do not forget to glue thin layers of felt underneath the scratchplate where it is touching the pickup covers. Just my 2 cents.
thanks for the tip!
well...humm, the problem is you don't really make a difference between P90 and humbucker loaded guitars and it's a huge difference but still those guitars are very attractive
Tradbucker for me
👍
so the original revstar suffers from neck dive?
not at all
That gretch is like the mixture of Less Paul and Strat, it's just right with the mids..
agree!
I like this videos
Thanks!
Sir, you should write. I mean a book. A novel. Your mastery of English is obvious, but you have a way with phrases and sentences that evoke emotions. Put that on paper. Get published. Your talent deserves a greater audience. Bravo. That was a master class. Oh and by the way, Revstar, all night, all day, all the way. A Godly guitar.
Wow. Thanks for those encouraging words. I am really surprised with your comment. Its unexpected and I am out for words. I do really appreciate it. 🥰
Adding a neck shim to a les Paul...yea...so easy...
and impossible?
Have to agree. The AI voiceover is terrible. Record your own voice instead.
agree with you. That is why, I avoid using it lately.
The Green one has just turned up here in HK - will be checking it out sometime in the next week or so. Thanks for a thoughtful demo - these are rare these days, so many YTers just desperate to show of their chops with maximum OD . . . they might as well be playing any guitar, frankly. Cheers!
Thanks for the appreciation!
I think you can use Stratocaster pickups to upgrade the mustang pickups. They’re pretty cool stock, quirky looking, and has that CLASSIC tone!
Thanks for making this video
it was my pleasure!
Oww and love That .. giutaracist … Im loving the Yamahaness of My Revstar s All 3 and ya My 79 acoustic That Everyone Loves
Damn Bro , so Happy to find this as Deep Down That rhett rev star video was still annoying My sub conciois … bravo bravo 🎉🎉🎉 i have 3 Revstar s in My collection 2015 and the 2022 versions and love them !! Rhett was just talking talk talk and saying nothing real or important !!
thanks for watching and taking the time to listen to my opinion. 🙂
I really wanted to love the Revstar, and this vid paints a very positive picture of them. However, reality is different. Just the other day I demoed a Revstar RSS20. It was ok. I then picked up a Yamaha AES620 for £350 and it blew the yamaha away in all regards. Never believe the Hype. Judge for yourself.
Such a beautiful guitar... the way that pearl sits on the eggshell pink. Sounds excellent as well. Definitely a new favorite from Guild.
thanks!
Never buy this SHIT !!!!!!!!!!! I head this guitar at home and return it fast ,neck is horrible !
Regarding #10 the rattling noise. I had a rattling issue with my Casino as well. It was not the pickguard, not the bridge, but the pole pieces of the pickups. I tightened each of them with a screwdriver and the rattling was gone. Like a magic. Hope this experience of mine helps somebody.
Yamaha started out as a musical instrument company. They have always made musical instruments.
So, are the ones with the bound necks, shield tailpiece, P90s, and DOT inlays a Standard or a lesser model, and does that one, in particular, come with Stainless Steel frets?
Bridge changed?
Nothing was changed
I usually don't like or trust "reaction" videos, because of the bit of hate mostly all of them have, and the fact that they usually get visits because of being based on actually famous or emergent channels. I still see valid points here though, but some other, such as 'racism' have as little base as you criticize. Sadly, your video turns out to be very much like that of Rhett's. And I am not the biggest Rhett's fans, and I'm not even subscribed to his channel.
A.I click bait shit
How many guitars does a guitarist need? Just one more.
8 is not really a deal breaker. It's not a shredder guitar and most people wanting a casino will already know this. Check your machine heads for the rattle. I spent ages once chasing down a rattle that sounded like it was coming from the bridge but was actually a loose nut on one machine head.
