Thank you
great video
good video
Can it read the mileage of Honda Civic 2009?
I’ll have to check, I’m not sure
Great video! Thank you!! As someone who's never worked under the hood before this took me a lot longer than expected but this video was a fantastic guide and I'm no longer getting the P2646 code. Unfortunately... I'm now getting the P2647 and P0523 codes :/ any advice?

You helped me out so much by giving full details and from start to finish. I was so stuck trying to figure out the passenger airbag sensor going back in. Thank you
Sir, my honda civic 2008 starts normally, but sometimes it cranks long, once it starts, the RPMs are high, and after some time, the RPMs go back to normal, what could be the reason? Best Regards from Pakistan Thank you soo much Sir
Wow man, you are amazing ❤
I can’t get the drain plug off, it’s to tight and hard to get leverage under the car.
I refilled my reservoir with coolant but still overheating. Fans are running. Do I need to also put coolant directly via the radiator cap?
Yes, when the vehicle is cold
I LOVE the clamp idea. I’ve never seen that before actually, but it’s a great idea👍 I also liked the screwdriver for leverage getting the self adjuster spring to come off/on. Got a lot of great tips for drum brakes in this!
Great tutorial Sir! One of the best and easy to follow imo 👌🏽 I do have a question, when piggybacking on an existing fuse slot, is it ideal to have a matching fuse amp as the original fuse you’re sharing it with? I know you mentioned a 10 amp is safe to use on an empty slot does the kit come with various extra fuse? Thank you in advance 🙏🏽
If you’re piggybacking a fuse, it should be the same fuse size or smaller
It worked!! Thanks so much
@2:22 "My battery went down to 8 volts." Yet, your car started, seemingly with no strain. So although that battery is technically registering as bad, do you really need to replace it right away? If you did not replace it, how much longer could you expect it to start your car? Because if it will still get the job done for another 6 months, then why start a new warranty on a new battery? Did you replace it because once it drops below 9.6 volts, it can fail at any time? Or it cannot be trusted in cold weather? Something else? I am trying to understand why dropping to 8 volts, and yet the car started with no apparent strain, translates to replacing the battery without delay. ----- I will soon be shopping for a new battery, and I have read mostly good reviews (including yours) on Walmart batteries. But when I put my car's make, model, year, and trim into Walmart's web site, I am presented with 11 choices. They all have somewhat similar cold cranking amps values (assuming those figures are accurate), and the prices range from $69 to $399, and some of the lower cost batteries have the same, or higher CCA value as the more expensive batteries. How is a customer supposed to choose? Which model did you purchase?
Great questions, two quick points to consider, one: you never know where you’ll be when your battery fails, two, all other components are working harder when a battery isn’t working properly
@@dannysdiygarage Oh. I assumed that once the car was running, and the alternator was providing electrical current, that the battery was basically out of the picture. Can you provide guidance on how to choose which Walmart battery, as they vary wildly in price, for similar CCA power. I saw a review where the host said to purchase the least expensive battery, because the more expensive ones are no better (you are just paying for a longer warranty). The inexpensive one might last as long or longer than the expensive one. It is a crap shoot. So if the $69 battery happens to die in 18 months (out of warranty), then your new purchase (another $69) is even better than initially spending $149, as you might get 3 or maybe 5 years out of the inexpensive battery. Is that good advice, to go with the $69 Walmart battery? How did you choose your Walmart battery model? Which model did you purchase?
I’m not a battery expert, I usually purchase a 3 year battery, they usually last 4 to 5 years
This is my job today wish me luck Danny! Video is helpful..
Good luck my friend 👍🏼
Really cool Danny thanks for sharing you're knowledge! Also looks like a great tool very handy!
Thanks for watching!
you are a legend Danny. i found the most helpful channel here in youtube.
Wow, thanks!❤️appreciate your comment
Hey Danny you probably have no idea how many people you have helped. I own a Civic 2009 and I never knew there was a thing such as a PCV Valve. Thank you Danny God Bless
Appreciate your gratitude ❤
Hello, where do I buy the stereo and the base?
I do not speak English, thanks
My WY based F250 6.0 just had its two G65 Everstart Maxx replaced . . . They made it 2.5 years 😐😐
You didn't put oil back
That’s correct, I did not, I didn’t replace any components other then the expansion valve
Great video.
4:32 High compression readings could mean carbon on top of rings which results in pinging. 4:45 Low compression means valve and piston rings. Do “wet test” in each cylinder again after putting 1 tablespoon of motor oil in the cylinder. If compression rises, that means piston rings and valves.
What’s the reason for flooring the accelerator while testing?
To get as much air in the cylinders as possible
2001 civic won't start cold below 60 degrees F, if I disconnect coolant temp. sensor and connect a warm coolant temp sensor in to the harness fires right the way. Any idea?
I’ll need to look at a schematic for a 2001, I do have a video on a 09 that explains the temperature sensors Have you used a scan tool to check the coolant temperature sensor? kzread.info/dash/bejne/eHua0JiFecrIqKQ.htmlsi=j1klLkLH6bqHrpq6
Excellent vedio!
Appreciate it

You guys have space to put a screw driver in there??? Right now I’ve broken one of the bottom clips and can’t get the top clip to release. You guys were able to remove the cover without breaking the clips???
Where can i find the inner weatherstrip? When I roll down my window it gets stuck.
can you please show us your go to hand tools? do you have a brand you prefer and reason you do? thank you.
As far as hand tools, if you’re asking about wrenches socket screwdrivers, I own a mixture of snap on Matco and some Mac tools, I find quality tools save knuckles, but I spent 30 years at dealerships wrenching, the quality of harbor freight tools and other brands has gotten better, stay away from 12 point sockets, the strip bolts, use 6 point
@@dannysdiygarage Thank you for the tips. I have mostly Snap-on and USA craftsman from when i worked at auto shop in the early 90s. they are still good tools. Hope you can make a video showing us your tool box tour or go-to items. :)
Here’s what’s in my box kzread.info/dash/bejne/mX51s5luhNHOito.htmlsi=Al9WxKeADkj-ngGs
Can I use the same process for a 2005 civic?
Yes
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you so much you have definitely earned my subscription
Appreciate that, welcome aboard
Good video. I just did this with a regular catch can. Didnt start the car at all during the process so I'm not sure how thorough my job was. I might have to give it another shot.
It’s much better than it was before, you did good getting most of the fluid out
everyone else on youtube is adjusting the valves when the lobe is straight up, but the way your doing it is different, which is the better way?.......
Lots of ways to do things, mine is the most accurate
Move alittle faster my guy
I’m an old man, I only have one speed👍🏼
I want to install that system when I can come to you place ?
Where do you live?
This clip was exactly what I needed- Thanks Danny. I tried to change out my expansion valve thru the firewall, it went horribly bad, ended up scarring up the O-ring fit on the evaporator nubs, so I had to go ahead and do what you did and change it all. Your a patient man, I'm certain I will be cussing a bit when I attempt this.
Go slow follow the video, I believe I showed every step
Definitely a weekend job You need the hose removal pliers and patience I also found it easier to remove the bottom hose from under the vehicle
Thanks for adding feedback
Danny, great video! You solved my problem!! Thanks
Glad I could help!
What screen do you have for that car? And do you have a video on it?
Yes, kzread.info/dash/bejne/eIht1dWFn5rgpqQ.htmlsi=ErTStKtcxM7vaNCy
ok ..im awake ..whatta I miss
Do you know if a backup camera can be shared (via splitter) to a rear view mirror camera system with a stereo upgrade system that features a back up system as well? Love my Wolfbox system, but is doesn’t have everything else a stereo upgrade features.
I don’t see why not
For what it's worth. My 100 month Honda replacement battery is still in my car, ten years later. Doing its thing. About to replace it. I've pushed my luck far enough.
Yes don’t push it, a bad battery causes other electrical components to work harder and can cause extra strain on the alternator
@@dannysdiygarage There is a nice new Duracell Ultra Gold in the car now. It was on sale for the Memorial Day holiday.
Great job Danny! Hudge help by trying to fix the window on my HONDA Logo. The motor is hardly accesible but I could reach it inside the door construction and smack it 2 - 3 times and it works again! Thanks!
Glad to help
2012 civic..NO heating or cooling codes....Replaced BOTH fans,,BOTH coolant temperature sensors and the thermostat..I also replaced the hvac pressure sensor...fuses and relays working properly....Car still got hot in the drive thru with the red light on,and the fans refused to come on,,this is after everything has been replaced...Later tonight fans came on,,,,work for five seconds or so ,then shut off...Both fans would come on every 30 seconds or so then shut off..When the fans were working,,civic would not overheat...Then sometimes the fans won't come on at all while the car is overheating....It's very inconsistent....I'm at a loss...And all of the parts were brand new..The last thing I put in was the AC condenser fan today...There were times where it was working while car parked running...Fans never stay on for more than five seconds...You have anything for me? lol...I also am having issues with my ac...Car runs great,,I don't want to hurt the motor...In the civics, can a condense issue cause this problem?? I mean,,it's thE ONLY thing I haven't replaced!
Have you watched this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/m21opNhxe8S8qqQ.htmlsi=LBkjO7lAS8qy1hbd
@@dannysdiygarage I watched the video...I don't believe it spoke of what I'm dealing with as far as the inconsistency....Can a bad condensor cause fans not to come on when car is overheating?
Short answer no, send me an email with your phone number I’ll call you and try to help, but only if you’re in the USA
@dannysdiygarage Hi Danny. Email sent last night.
@@atgn70 are you ready to talk
thank you for the video. So it only takes 3 bottles to do but I didn't see how you connected the hose back to the reservoir? Is that really messy as there is fluid in the reservoir? thank you
No it’s not messy, use a rag and use your finger to plug the hose hole as you reinstall the hose
I use Lucas transmission leak stoppers mixed in with the Honda transmission fluid on my high mileage 2003 civic lx.
