If your front badge has a circle of stars around the perimeter it is an NAA, but is not a Jubilee and so it is not a '53. I know that the NAA is the same as the jubilee but put it this way . . . Every Jubilee is an NAA But not every NAA is a Jubilee. The name Jubilee is specific to 1953 only. (50th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company.) I have a jubilee and 12 attachments. And it has custom 13.6" X 28" rear tires and custom widened hat Box rims.

Breaks, engine, lights, transmission. Sell her while you have the chance. She'll drag you down like Davie Jones locker. You'll be dumping a wad into her and she probably hogs gas. My dad had a old 50 cad. Dam breaks were a Hazzard. THEN the battery went out. We let it go for 50 dollars. Best thing we ever did. It was a moose!. If you have the deep pockets maybe keep her, but I'm telling ya she'll cost ya. I hate to see you throw good money after bad. But it's your car you do what you want.Im worried the drive shaft might fly right through the floor board. No brakes! Eeek! God be with you. Youve been really luck with her. Hope your a good welder and engineer and that you know what your doing. I don't recomend working on it alone, have your dad or someone work with you. I've a feeling that car is Christeen! It's like Jaws! Youl be fixing stuff then she'll break something else untill she has you right in the headlights. God be with you. Bye.

There are some valves that are not closing that is why it's popping back out the carb. You may have to take the valve covers off and get the valves fixed and she will go just too many intakes open at the same time for it to want to fire.
