  Not quite. This Chapter of the Qur'an was revealed, because the disbelievers kept mocking the Prophet (saw) and the believers started to have doubts. That's why Allah revealed this Surah that directly speaks to the Prophet to comfort him. This is the translation of the Chapter: By the morning sunlight, and the night when it falls still! Your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful ˹of you˺. And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one. And ˹surely˺ your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased. Did He not find you as an orphan then sheltered you? Did He not find you unguided then guided you? And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs? So do not oppress the orphan, nor repulse the beggar. And proclaim the blessings of your Lord.

  He is not following the rules of tajweed which is a disrespect to the authenticity of the Quran. The Quran was sent down with rulings on how it must be read. You have no right to change that. If you are not capable of reciting with correct tajweed you should not put yourself in a position to recite infront of the people and you should go learn correct recitation. With all do respect. This is sincere advice for the sake of Allah. He is lengthening words in his recitation that should not be lengthened. Barak Allah feekum.

  I believe he is reciting in rawiyat warsh instead of hafs asim, which has different rules of elongation. If what you are talking about is walalaaaakhirati for example (near hamza). If you're talking about other madd then know that there is difference of opinion. For example, one opinion I learned is that at the end of an ayah you can stretch a madd for 2, 4 or 6 counts if tou so wish. Know that Islam and the Quran is a vast ocean, and we mist have a good opinion of our brothers
