    Hello. It is time for me to change my all season tiers. I'm driving Skoda Octavia Wagon, tyre size 225/45/17. I live in South East Euore, where we have hot summers and winters are mainly cold and rainy and sometimes with little snow. I'm a familiy man and I need a tayre that is good, relaible, good wear, performance also. I have narrowed to following tiers Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6, Continental Contact 2, Goodyear Vector Gen3 and CrossClimate 2. If I need to put them in order it should go something like this Continetal, Bridgestone, Goodyear, and CC2. Would you go for in order from first to last? Also considering Kleber Q3.

    Hello, I live in Greece, the weather where I am is quite hot from May - September but bcuz of work I need to pass through places that have low temperatures in winter. That's the reason I'm going for all season tyre. My needs are for the best possible dry and wet performance and mild snow capabilities. According the video comments seems to be the new Bridgestone allseason 6 but I would like to see your opinion. Best regards

    I’m in the US Midwest and extreme hot and cold/snowy weather - and I love the Nokian All-Weather tires. They’re a Finnish company well known for great winter tires but have added all-weather mix tires to their line-up. I believe they added a factory in the US and are trying to penetrate deeper sales here. The Nokian all-weathers I have are less expensive than the Crossclimate2 but almost as good on snow. Excellent traction in cold weather. I also give the edge to the Nokian over CC2 for say spring/summer/fall dry weather highway driving - I find the Nokian quieter.

    It is important to note that Tesla is not using the new Hankook tire in the 18” size despite it being available. Only the upgrade 19” wheels will be available with these new Hankook tires. While these tires will improve the efficiency of the 19” wheels the 18” wheels still have far superior efficiency even with the same tires that the previous Model 3 vehicles had.

    I am more interested in a tire supporting the Tesla's weight than anything else. I have never gotten so many friggen' flat tires since getting a Tesla. When going on road trips, I actually travel with 2 spares in the back of the Model Y. Yes, it has been that ridiculous. I've tried many different brands too, Pirelli, Continental, and so on. Terrain is going to be mostly high speed lane, with the occasional mountain road (small mountain, not through the alps), Puma is given with high speed summer tires, so im still undecided if i should buy CrossClimate 2 and just be done with those till around mid June where its summer (very hot), and change there to summer tires, or Special Winter Tires, and change sooner in March.

    It really depends on the usage, I had a chance to take Nokian Weatherproof to the Czech mountains (nothing like the Alps, but still have snow) and we climbed some really steep snow-covered roads with no problems on a FWD Passat - they actually are really decent when the snow is "sticky", as they fill the tread with snow and then use it for traction. Given the Crossclimates should be even better on snow I would give it a try, but still if you have snow whole winter it makes more sense to have two sets of tyres.

    Sorry, this is not a test, but a commercial. Moreover, one of the best brands in this field is Vredestein, a small brand perhaps, but in The Netherlands well loved for its outstanding characteristics, especially for the smaller cars most Dutchmen drive.

  • @thetirelab
    @thetirelab11 ай бұрын

    Well, I certainly thought about featuring it - the Vredestein Quatrac is a nice option, but there's only a few dimensions available, as you said mostly for smaller cars. The performance version Quatrac Pro got a "insufficient" rating in ADAC test in 2020 because of it's poor snow performance, that's why it wasn't featured... I can't fit all tyres in one video, but if you check my website, you can see the best tyres in your dimension and Vredestein is in the upper positions for the smaller dimensions :) Dutch version here: www.autobandentest.eu

It was great in nearly all aspects, except that it's steering response wasn't as crisp as I would have liked nor the solidness of the feel - a little vague. When they wear out I'll see if Michelin has come up with a sport version of the Pilot Sport 5
