A rookie blacksmith/fabricobbler turned KZreadr.
Hello all, I'm Phil and I like to hit bits of metal, against a big bit of metal, using a smaller bit of metal on a stick.
I hope you'll enjoy this channel as you watch me attempt to make some various cool things with no real knowledge or technique. I have no professional training or qualifications in this field, and I am entirely self taught in everything from using an angle-grinder or arc/stick welder, to physically trying to smith using hammer and tong from videos I have watched on KZread.
I am literally bringing you along from day one, so expect the quality to be that of a newbie as this is a beginners channel, but hopefully together we shall see it improve overtime.
Cheers all!

Arnold is not lying about your Democracy, he speaks the truth. It is broken and everyone knows that something is wrong with it. Is he trying to test us with a riddle of steel? Maybe contemplate what he said on the tree of woe.
How much was the power bank and whats the max watt output please? I just bought a citroen berlingo car, im going to rip out ghe back seats and make it into a mini camper. Loving your vids!
Looks super clean! Well done! What tarp did you use for your rear doors?
Ive made a 3 foot fire poker with the dragon twist on the bottom and dice at the top and everythin else twisted between
Very nice work and demonstration! I subbed, thanks.
Absolutely beautiful knife, well done knife maker, enjoyed watching you build it.
Looks good I’ve seen lots of fails, stick to knife making palx
25:00 for when them farmers attack the feudal lord i guess...
For those not UK cunts brass screws work well attatching things to handles like this. Then you can grind a little off the top and hammer them to look like brass rivets. I do it on sturgeon spears and pole axes for them ren faire Tists.
That looks awesome. I think I might take the idea, but when finished put it into a pipe canister with 4% nickel 1095 powder. I will reach out it if it pops.
That's a great shout, I'll be curious to hear how it turns out!
Lovely build, it looks beautiful inside and I'm looking forward to your next videos to see how it works for you. I've had a basic pull out bed and cupboard setup in my Berlingo for the last 18 months and I'm about to change it up. I don't think your setup would work for me as I'm often stealth and need to cook inside but it's great to see how neatly you've built everything.
Thankyou! Yeah that's fair enough. It's the nice thing about building it yourself, it can suit whatever needs you have. :)
You completely fucked up that leg vise!! You don't cut the leg off. The leg has a purpose!! You're an idiot!!
You need a new saw blade : saves burning through the wood
a year on how is this going mate?
My god. That was amawezome. That was super cool man.
Bro, Bro.... Thank You! No. Ca. USA
I didn't think you had that nice weather in the UK! 😅
Every now and then. 😂
Wow for someone who doesn’t consider himself a bladesmith that is one of the coolest knives I’ve ever seen. Going to try to repeat it
Waaaaaaaaaaah!
No Arnold, the more it is tempered, the softer it becomes.you are,and always have been full of shit.
Perro
Sorry for all the questions mate, just about to put a deposit down on the same van is all. I'll be staying in my van sometimes with the misses so I'd need to keep the passenger seat in the van. Is this still long enough to lie down in without removing any seats?
Have a look at the first video I did on my road trip of wales. I do a full walk around there of my set up. Would hopefully help give you an idea of size etc. :)
@@PJTForging I'll check that out, thanks a lot!
Hi, is this just the standard size or is it the extended versions? I'm looking at a berlingo enterprise and can't decide if it's long enough to sleep in. Apologies if you go over this in the video, I'm watching it in work when I'm not supposed to! 😂
Standard size. :)
@@PJTForging brilliant, I'm only a short arse so should be fine! Thanks for the quick reply.
Great help to me hoping to convert my Berlingo. You've a load of wood materials.. Is there much extra weight?
You are one of my favorite smiths during these challenges because you always walk your own line on what you build. But I got to hand it to you, this was the best weapons test I have seen EVER.
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it! :)
Love the slight humor!..the elbow grease bucket had me in tears hahahaha! Seems im always dipping into that bucket among all my projects.. Great build!
best testing segment ever!
Thankyou! 😂
Even though they say Vikings didn't have horns on their helmets, yours is still clearly the most creative out of the Viking Challenge because everyone else just made either a sword or a seax
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it!
Wellll......he's not wrong. Thanks to politicians our REPUBLIC is being broken and fragmented.
you live in England the weather is always shitty
Hey Phil. This camper is great, I love what you’ve done with it. Just wondering what’s the load length. How long is the mattress. Just trying to think if a L1 Berlingo would be big enough for me.
Love the creativity, cool!
Thanks! :)
if that falls off your head, please don't try to stop it with your foot.
Brilliant
Thanks!
Who ever got to throw all that fruit for the testing 100% had the best day 😂
You have no idea. 😂😂😂
LOL to the testing on this thing! Fun build man!
Cheers mate!
Living proof that "forging can be fun". Imaginative out of the box approach that entertains as well as impresses. Skillful headwork at the end-the "helmet in the tree" shot at the end was inspired. Full respect to the veggie-chucker too 😬
Cheers Tim! 😂
I love it man great job and great video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! 🤘
The end was the best of all for me lol .....
Cheers man!
HAHAHA! I love it!!! You never disappoint, Phil! If I ever get to the UK, I’m coming to visit whether you like it or not! 🤣😜
Thanks man! ...Deal. Come and enjoy the gross Midlands. 😂
Hands down one of the funnest builds. You always think outside the box and bring fire content. Only thing i would change is sharpening the other side of the horn thag way if the first misses the second can do some damage instead of bouncing off. Overall awesome build.
Cheers dude! Appreciate it!
Your testing section was awesome to watch! The helmet looks awesome!
Cheers dude! :)
“Oranges hate him!” Great build, you have skills! 😊
Thanks a lot man! Oranges and my audience both. 😂
All that's needed now is the "Historically Accurate Viking Block of Metal" to complete the set!
Please stop trying to be entertaining, you’re not funny when you try Your obv skilled and your content is good, but you’re aping other creators excessively
Hey man, I'm sorry you don't find my sense of humour to your tastes. I've used humour for years as a coping mechanism to deal with personal stresses, and a lot of childhood trauma. Being the class clown is perhaps not the healthiest way to make it through life, but it's worked for me so far. I guess it isn't always for everyone, but I try hard to make my content entertaining for the majority. If you have any tips on the sort of comedy you'd like to see, I'd be willing to listen. All the best.
@@PJTForging interesting response thank you Just be yourself, don’t force it- it will still be funny because you naturally want to be Let your skill speak for itself and don’t copy others
Just kidding, tool. I'm hilarious. 😁
@@PJTForging or just keep ripping off michaelcuthulu in front of 200 people, up to you 😃 He liked your mask so much that I think he gave it away? Is that right?
@Solid_Jackson yeah, I feel awful raising $650 for charity. 😂
excelent work! most of the "weapons" in this challenge are not historical accurate but all are pieces of awsomenes!! greetings from germany PS.: the new fruit"ninja" update looks great aswell XD XD
Cheers! I appreciate it! :)
@@PJTForging hi i dont know if you still read comments here but i try my luck ^^ what are you using as rivets(is it spelled like that?^^) it looks like you are using simple nails?!
Excellent work man! Always thinking outside the box!
Thanks dude!
Great look! Minus the horns, this is pretty close to what I would wear in a old-timey battle. Speaking of the horns, how much did the centre of gravity change with them on? What did the entire piece weigh? And how did your neck feel after the last day of filming? 😅
It was definitely top heavy, but weirdly because it was so snug, it didn't feel particularly unbalanced. Honestly, my neck felt fine afterwards, I did warm up prior to the ninja-ing, but yeah, I was expecting a few sore days that never came. 😅
@@PJTForging Glad to hear that you came out of it unbruised. I felt for you with all the attempts to catch a flying vegetable, and I really enjoyed the final shot of you head butting the tree!
thats wicked ... i always believed vikings had horns not as "weapons" but decorative to scare villagers into believing they were demons ... scare tactics that worked really well
Thanks! :)
BADASS
Cheers Wade! 😂
