I like cars. And car stuff like tires, rims, mods, customisation and all that jazz.
And I also like televisions and calibrating them. Yes, I'm weird. I know... ;-)

    Well, the PS4S will be more sporty in terms of handling than the PS5. The PS5 is more durable and still has some comfort, but when pushing hard still has good grip. Especially in the wet. So if you drive mainly sporty, get the PS4S. This is a pretty good comparison video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXqqk8qcmpScZaw.htmlsi=56w4oL8BOBpU0u8V

    I have been using kleber q3 for only one year doing 6000km and must say I will make a complaint for 2 tires (those in front). Tire bloks are crooked and a bit worn out. The block rubber 'pills out' so to say. Micro breakings can be observed between tire bloks. I have china goodride 401 AS tires on my second car for 3 years and they (4 of them) look almost as if they were only half of the year on the road making a few kilometers. Very dissapointed with kleber. The reara tires look good yet!

    Hmm, that doesn't really sound like how it's supposed to be. Especially after only 6000 km. I would definitely take them back to the tire shop and show them. Could be a production thing, or bad storage at the tire shop or any number of variables like weather and usage etc. But basically if there is something wrong, you are in your right to go to the seller and get it sorted out. My QD3's have done around 5.000 km now with DOT 4623 and still look brand new. Hope you can get it fixed and good luck!

    Unfortunately I don't have the Dragy app (yet). Looking into getting that, though. Subjectively the braking performance felt much stronger when compared to previous Hankook, Conti, Vredestein and Michelin Primacy summer tires and compared to CrossClimate allseason tires. Wet stopping distance from 100 KM/H was less than 60 metres. These are more or less new tires with full tread depth. For what it's worth...

    Well, I did put the links to all the objective, professional tests in the video description, didn't I? I am not a professional tire tester, so indeed my video is always to a certain degree subjective. I do, however, compare the CC2 and the Quadraxer 3 after driving them both on comparable cars in more or less the same conditions over longer periods. So therefore I believe I can comment at least with some confidence on their differences (or actually LACK of differences). I have no stake in either tire or company. Just my own experience and my own wallet. :-) In terms of objective data, please read the video description and see the links I have posted there. Hope that helps! I'm not really sure on that, to be honest. I think it's standard on most "modern" models. It only works above a certain speed, though. Which I believe is about 80 KM/H. If it doesn't work on your car, maybe you can have it switched on/coded with VCDS.

    What country is this in? I thought of this warning flashing brake light idea back in 2000 and contacted every major car manufacturer and electronics company, along with the national highway safety patrol in the US. I was 20 at the time, and all I wanted was for safer roads and less accidents. I even contacted insurance companies and told them about the way it could save them money with fewer crashes on the road. All I wanted monetarily was $5 for every new car sold with this technology. Now, i find out this became a reality! Any lawyers out there know if I have any grounds for any type of suit since i massed mailed my idea out to just about every company?

    They have been common here in Europe on cars from VAG (Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat for instance) but also on Mercedes and I think BMW. Not sure how long, but for 10+ years at least. I remember reading somewhere that for legal reasons this was not allowed on US cars, but I can't remember why... In my opinion it definitely shaves off valuable reaction time in the case of an emergency braking event for the cars following behind.

    Yeah, but how are you going to feel descending the snowy mountain rim, thinking you'd feel so much more comfortable and confident if you'd just sprung for the Michelins. A slide off with Michelins, blame the tires. Slide off with the knock offs, blame yourself.

  • @dmhlados3615
    @dmhlados36153 ай бұрын

    I see your logic here. However I would think more like this: if the less than 1% performance-difference of another tire, is the ultimate difference between an accident or not: I should not have been driving there in the first place... And if were to drive snowy mountain rims often, I would not fit 3PMSF-Allseason tires at all (not CC2, not Kleber, not anything), but actual dedicated WINTERtires. 3PMSF-Allseason tires will get you home when it snows in most regular situations, but are really not intended for heavy winter-use in snowy mountain-regions.

  • @williamrobinson6680
    @williamrobinson66803 ай бұрын

    Case in point. I've ordered the same Michelins for my granddaughter RAV4. I researched the tire, testing, popularity and sales. And I'll always do this where the rubber meets the road. Safety #1. Because, I learned the hard way. For a bargain budget facsimile. Totally different dynamic, an decommissioned patrol car, Crown Victoria. I don't even remember the name, but a triple peak all winter V-pattern unidirectional aggressive monster for Michigan winter. Although it LOOKED like Goodyear Ultra Grips that I had much experience with in the 1990- early 2000. These knock offs, mounted and on my way home, sent me sideways looking at mail boxes. They simply loaded up with snow, poor self cleaning, and began to float away. Admittedly, rear drive was probably a factor. One of my biggest mistakes. I will NEVER trust another tire because it LOOKS like a popular proven tire. Seriously, words of wisdom. Not worth your life and family. I would stare at that tread in disbelief something so aggressive is a potential disaster tire. Then I felt maybe as a consolation, the tire would be good off road, being, my driveway. Negative. The huge V cleats simply dug trenches below the tire to the frame. The big blue cruiser went straight down, not forward. The original all season tire spun atop the driveway surface, pushing the beast forward at a slow embarrassingly pace. But FORWARD. Not down. An extremely peculiar knockoff tire. All looks. They got me! Blizzaks 80,90, DMV2 etc, GY ultra grip etc , years of experience with performance above and beyond expectations. At the end of the day, if they work,... they work. And you saved money. Myself, I learned a good lesson, and it would be foolish to defy it. I'll work extra overtime, or cut corners elsewhere to protect myself and my family. Godspeed!

    Well, for me the grip on wet roads (so not just braking) seems really good. I can maintain a lot of speed when cornering hard. Once the tires wear down a little, the dry grip should get better. See here for more explanation: www.tirebuyer.com/education/breaking-in-your-new-tires

    It may well be a better performer PER DOLLAR SPENT than the Michelin, but it doesn't seem to be QUITE as good. Maybe close enough that the average driver will never even notice a difference, but there ARE differences. If you want that last few percentage points worth of performance, and cost is no object, get the Michelin.

  • @dmhlados3615
    @dmhlados36154 ай бұрын

    Thank you for this and I appreciate you taking the time to reply! I definitely agree with most of what you're saying. Especially the fact that average drivers will not notice any differences in performance. I'm a big fan of Michelin tires myself but did quite a bit of research to see if CC2's were indeed "the best out there". I concluded that all the professional tests COMBINED (at least to ME) were inconclusive, basically because it was either very close OR in other cases CrossClimate 2 was ahead in one test and Quadraxer 3 was ahead in another test. So this video is mostly based on my own comparison experience, with a safety-bias towards wet performance and wet/dry braking. And yes, combined with pricing. ;-)

  • @dmhlados3615
    @dmhlados36154 ай бұрын

    Yes, I have had the same experience with previous tire swaps. But luckily there is good explanation for this. The "old for new" tire swap means a lot more tread depth, which means more movement in the rubber even if the tires are identical. Which means they may feel less grippy when new. You can read about it here: www.tirebuyer.com/education/breaking-in-your-new-tires However, in wet/rainy conditions you should definitely notice much better performance with new tires. In dry conditions the tires get sharper in dry conditions as they wear down, but that also means less grip in the wet.

    It is a Micheline subsidiary company, a 2nd tier tire company that is designed to compete against the budget price tires. KLEBER QUADRAXER 3 is based on the Micheline CrossClimet+/CrossClimate 2 with less warranty, MPG and minor performance differences.

  • @dmhlados3615
    @dmhlados36154 ай бұрын

    Yes, thank you for this and your reply. Indeed (as I also put in the video description) it is based on the Michelin CrossClimate. That was more or less the reason I brought it up, since I did the comparison myself. In terms of MPG they are exactly the same on my vehicle and two other vehicles. Performance differences are indeed minor, some in favour of the CC2 and some in favour of the QD3. Same goes for longevity/tread wear, some tests say Michelin is better, some say the Kleber is better. I think the CrossClimate 2 is a great tire! But if the Quadraxer 3 can basically match it and at a much better price, than to me that is "better". But as I said, CrossClimate is definitely a great tire too.

  • @Jeo-What
    @Jeo-What5 ай бұрын

    It should be because Kleber is a 2nd tier tire company that is owned by Micheline and the QUADRAXER 3 is based on CrossClimate 2 design. Just less warranty and less MPG.

  • @dmhlados3615
    @dmhlados36154 ай бұрын

    Thanks! The MPG may be different for different users, but for me and two acquaintances the MPG is not any different from the Michelin CC tire. Warranty in terms of projected kilometres tread life is in favour of the Kleber Quadraxer 3 according to Auto Bild Germany (alltyretests.com/kleber-quadraxer-3-test-review/) . But even in the tread wear was equal I would personally still pick the Quadraxer over the CrossClimate, because of it's price difference. But that's just my personal opinion, based on the info I have gathered. That said, the Michelin CrossClimate tires are great too.
