I’ve never heard of “old mount pleasant” until recently. Sounds made up to boost real estate values as it certainly is not old village.
Good Morning Phil -- I have been in MTP for 35 years and there have always been those distinctions b/ two areas. Real estate values are for sure boosted in Old MTP and OV. Honestly, its a great place to live so some of the boost is warranted. Have a great weekend. Bob
I want to make a thumbnail for you. To verify me you can first let me do a job that I will do for free.

I made a thumbnail for the video you posted 1 year ago.
i will be making a choice on who I hire next week.
please check your email,
didnt get a email from you. thanks for watching
hello
It would be AMAZING if we had a resort as well. The revenue alone would speak volumes! Sometimes the family and I would love to just stay in our area without going to Myrtle beach or down to Davenport, Orlando or kissimmee Florida. ❤
thanks for watching and comments/thoughts. would be nice to have a good resort on island. hope y'all had a good 4th.
Amazing place can’t wait to play there again in November 2025
Agree -- great location. Easy access to Isle of Palms and downtown Charleston. If I can help w/ real estate DM me. Bob
Another great video. At Shem Creek two years ago a woman from Buffalo NY living in West Ashley said her dream property for future investment would be Folly beach.
Thanks Chris. Sorry for lag in responding but I was away on family vacation. Folly for sure has a cool vibe. Have a great week. Bob
Great video Bob
Thanks Chris. Appreciate you watching. Have a great day
@@CharlestonHome You're welcome Bob. I'm looking forward to visiting Charleston again in July.
Thanks Bob. Good video. However, I just wanted to point out that it’s Credit One, not Capital One.
thanks for watching Eric. You are correct. I noticed that after video guy finalized. Thanks for pointing out. Have a great week
Nice home. As a car guy, I would have loved to seen the garage area. Thanks for the content.
Thanks for watching Wayne. Here is link to pics of listing, including the garage. These are pics I took prior to listing it for sale. share.icloud.com/photos/0f9bO_kOb4sdd1kT1Mxmt79Og
The least expensive home I see in any of the three neighborhoods you mentioned is asking $665k. I'm not sure where you're getting the $500k number from.
I live in park west and I go to the schools you said

Thanks for watching Ramzan
Great video, loved the mention of Breach Inlet history and the Hunley. Haha I loved how you dogged the late 70s/80s styles and Tidewater. We own at Seagrove, which admittedly is in that same camp but our regimes are on of the most reasonable and our board is solid (I sit on it so I should know). But the yearly insurances assessments are what’s really getting bad. Anywhere from 4-6k just got the master HOA flood/property-casualty insurance, doesn’t include the 2k+ for our own personal HO for inside the condo. Then taxes are very high as a secondary (non-primary) homeowner. Around 9-10k. So, that’s why when ppl see rents being what they are, it’s driven by that. Our costs never stop increasing swiftly.
Lots of drainage work at IOP Marina through this year and possibly next. T-dock being completely replaced upgraded so that will be pretty nice.
thanks for watching and sharing those comments. Building insurance is through the roof. Taxes on non-primary are high guess its the trade off for having low primary property taxes.
@@timothybilsky3023 I saw all the work they were doing w/ drainage back there. The dock redo w/ be a nice addition. Thanks as always for your insight
My House in the 1970, before money found it....
I wish I had bought back then. Lots of home value appreciation since then :-)
You speak of the exterior ( hardy type exterior) at the price point to be good. Can you explain a little more by what you mean would you consider this development to be high-end and well built ?
High end would likely be a stretch. Well built. The upside is the location.
Hey bob what do you think of the pointe at Primus neighborhood ? What is the general opinion? Thank you!
Good question. Here is a video I did specifically about Point at Primus, which includes information about the neighborhood, location, builder, and what I do and don't like. kzread.info/dash/bejne/jHWiyLmqnrarl7A.htmlsi=wzJbW3Y3vRFrRnUW Let me know if you have additional questions after you review. Thanks so much. Bob
@@CharlestonHome oh i saw the video! Love your drive by videos, I guess I was more wondering if you had heard from any owners that they really enjoy the neighborhood or they didn’t care for it.
Bob: Do you recommend Ion or a different area in Mt pleasant if i'm thinking about moving to the area? i'm in my late 30's and will be looking for an apartment building. I like walkable areas. Gorgeous streets. Would like to be close to downtown Charleston.
any of the apartments off Coleman Blvd would be good for walkabilty and access to historic CHS. (The Boulevard Apartments and Legacy Patriots Point Apartments) If you are looking to buy a home you can always call or text me at 843-345-6074
I'd like to see the interior...

Does everyone in Charleston walk with their hands behind their backs?
interesting question -- not sure -- I do so I stand up straight ; - )
Hadn't thought of that. So many presenters on videos wave their hands constantly which can be annoying. What you guys did stood out. I live in Aiken and haven't been to Charleston in forty years! I think it's time to visit.
@@bocachucka thanks for the feedback....definitely keeps my hands out of video when they are behind my back...if I can ever be of help just message me. Have a good rest of your day.
Every time we visit, We stop at the Mount Pleasant Visitor Center and take a walk on the Mount Plesant Pier. Its a nice break from a long drive. Yes, a stop at Trader Joes is a must.😊
Thanks for watching and commenting Wayne. I was just at the foot of the bridge doing some drone photography. Great spot. Cheers!
I love Old Village. Great charm. Right around Pitt St Bridge at sunset or sunrise. I wish they would somehow reconnect it to Sullivan’s.
yeah that would be great if you could still walk over. think they cut it off from Sullivans Island back in the 70s. Have a good day Tim
@@CharlestonHomethanks Bob. You too brother.
Very interesting going in April 2024 thank you
thanks for watching Laura. Hope y'all have a good visit. Bob
Bob, great lot, saw it when we were visiting our condo in November. I need to win powerball to get it, or locate that rich uncle I didn’t know existed who loves me beyond life. 😂😊
Hey Tim -- thanks for the thoughts. Definitely not a price point most, including me, can afford. Fingers crossed on the lottery ticket. Happy new years to y'all. Bob
@@CharlestonHomeif you get the sale, you’ll be much closer! 🙂 I may just need to ask the buyer to take a stroll across the hallowed grounds once the mansion is built!
Home of the legendary AGP 🕯 ✝️ 💐
My in-laws lived on the water there. Had a dock. Deceased now. Beautiful property in this neighborhood. Wonderful memories.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy Monday Tammy 😃
Thank you!
Your best video yet Bob. In all our trips to SC we never made it to Ion. With the exception of the streets and their lack of flow it might be one of the top spots in the Mount Pleasant area. I also wanted to comment that I like the Tesla screen while shooting so it shows where you are in the video but where's your signature Infiniti? Hope all is well.
thanks for the kind words. I enjoy doing the videos. Ion is beautiful. Wish I had bought in there before the prices shot up. Hope y'all have a great T-Day. If you ever want to chat pop me a text for a call 843-345-6074. Bob
Wow so beatiful. ♡♡♡

thanks Thomas. Did you end up moving to Charleston? Following you on TikTok. Would love to meet you for coffee or drink sometime.
Proud to say I live in park west, go to the high school right next to it, and work at that Publix.

I have not been to Daniel Island. But I am planning a visit to assess whether I should make it my retirement home. I imagine living in a condo in the downtown center would be the best location for cultivating a social life because that is where residents are concentrated, as distinct from people who want privacy by living in a more rural subdivision. The downside might be that it is noisier downtown which could make it difficult to sleep at night.
thanks for watching and commenting George. The condos on DI in the downtown area are well sound proofed, minus the units on Seven Farms Drive. If I can help answer questions or give you a tour when you visit, please text or call me 843-345-6074. Cheers! Bob
