  glancing over the obvious incredible animation and general glow up for a second, i'd just like to say... it might just be a me thing and probably wasn't done on purpose, but to me when i look at Sans's face for a bit it looks like he's sad/holding tears, this is mostly because of the shadow in the middle of his face, but even if it isn't itentional it adds so much character and makes so much sense for this take. for all i''ve personally seen, Dusttale: I miss you is a more creative take that goes in depth about Sans's emotions and losing the mask he puts on, just like he slightly does in UNDERTALE at the end of the genocide route, except here since it's DUSTTALE it's 10x more extreme, and this small detail just adds so much more to that, even if unintentional ngl already seeing the music, "leaks" (more so teasers but whatever) and the atmosphore of this game already hype me up but this "headcanon" really is the icing on the cake for me. safe to say im excited and hopefully this will be a dusttale take that's not just "Dusttale but canon" and one that actually takes creative liberties and gives depth to Sans's actions and emotions while still remaining with the canon personality with the changes of a murderer. on an unrelated note: the belt thing on the rope (i dont remember the name rn) looks like a kung fu belt lol

  Na your definitely not the only one, even with the shades his face definitely looks pained to some degree, even if he is trying to hide it, just like how he tried to pretend papyrus's death didn't hurt as much as it did in UnderTale. Also, I just realized the tint / reflection on his glasses somewhat resembles broken monster souls. Maybe it symbolizes the pain he is trying to hide through the shades and his outfit?

  I don't know why people think that sans is some depressed person who is forced to do genocide and shit, he is just a funny comedian who wants to make his brother happy and does puns and judges you at the end of the genocide route. It's not that deep 💀 💀

  ​@@overuseanimations4590 Sans is, in fact, a funny guy who can have his serious moments. He’s not one-dimensional; that’s what makes him interesting. In dusttale, it should explore what happens when he is pushed to his absolute limit after witnessing countless deaths and resets, which would break anyone. So, yes, it really is that deep, Sans is a complex character with motivations, personality, character, mysteries, and much more. It’s why people like him. When Undertale was at its peak, people thought he was an edgy, depressed, emo skeleton. Now, people think he’s just a funny guy with zero substance. The truth is, he is both. Here we see Sans after murdering most of the underground in an attempt to stop you. He still maintains his poker face, similar to the genocide route from Undertale, but now he wears sunglasses to continue his "i don't care" facade, however the situation is much harder to hide. And yes he can be funny even in dire circumstances, heck, he even IS being funny and goofy here, which makes sense, however, he also knows how to get serious, which is why in the genocide route of undertale, there are no puns - just a battle that gets straight to the point.
