Wow you really put it through it’s paces 🙄
The new Reissue... They've made it to sound modern in my opinion... Which I don't like...
is it me or is the audio in mono?.... Im listening through Neumann kh 120ii btw. it sounds mono
the presenter is up the middle, but eventually there's an obvious stereo review. FWIW, I have the 2 BUS+ which is summing as expected.
Good comparison, but even better would be a more historical context - these mics shine in a large reflective room positioned at a greater distance from the talent. It seems that the spec at what distance a (directional) microphone has its flattest frequency response is often lost, especially when comparing mics. Those mics were not intended to be that close…
Great stuff Gear. !!!! Just no Gain, no Trim for ALL Stereo Line Inputs ! (except BlueTooth channel 17/18, 13/14 on the Onyx12)
I subscribed, you too
True endgame level stuff. Love RME.
I am really impressed with your youtube channel and your outstanding video. I appreciate your video content here, sorry I don't usually write in comments section but I think you deserve this complement.. Thanks and stay safe 🌺🌸🌼🌹🌷🌻
Demo sound 6:30
The DAW summing sounds identical.
That 414xls is my favorite overall in the musical shootout. It just sounds so realistic, natural, and balanced, compared to the other microphones. I would say the addition of the 451 could complement it nicely on some of the instruments here or there as well. 214 is a smoking bargain and gives a little more of that sparkle, but some may prefer her on vocals or acoustic guitar.
2 years after this posting,.. Do we have any updates regarding reliability of the USB and the power supply?
Question - Where can you buy wall & ceiling mounts for these? I'm struggling...
Nice:) For the record - the Sceptre S8's are absolutely superb. I shot them out against $10K Genelecs and they completely held their own. (Although the newer Kali IN-8 is slightly more transparent in the midrange) Pretty amazing bang for the buck these days... Really looking forward to trying these new 6's, even though they'll only be Atmos height channels...
INCREDIBLE!!! GREAT EXPLANATION.
Hello, very good video, my question is, is this console an audio interface? That is, I don't need to have a separate audio interface?
Correct
How did u capture just the wet signal?
Sadly I would need to think about that as off my head I don't remember
Can you still play or take a small a dat tape and retrieve the music from it? I have tapes from an old band but I am not able to retrieve the music.
Great overview. One of the best I've seen lately
Mono sound? Are you serious?🙈
Absolutely, almost all analog summing boxes have dedicated mono channels for things like bass, kick, snare and/or lead vocals.
@UC1lwlAujjdRTT8QfjGz0rdQ I was talking about mono sound in demo section of the video.
The choice of naming the pot positions after old tape speed standards make me HIGHLY suspicious of this product beeing another snake oil on the market.
Coming back again, that Milab sounds lovely too! More mic comparisons always please! Mics tested without anything to contrast against is just a waste of time imho.
Can 1 apollo x8p, with its two digital outputs, feed two convert8s, which can then be routed into the 2bus+ Also, how exactly do you link the dbox+ summing with the 2bus+ summing?
It’s like a DI in reverse.
...But not
Balanced line level In to Hi-Z Out. No?
Useful! I’m just putting together a synth/pedal board mix and this offers a lot of useful advice. I wasn’t aware of the reverse polarity leads. These will save me a lot of stress over plugging things in and out. In the past I killed two very expensive pedals before fully understanding the difference between +/-
Thanks for the review. Great homage to Alice Cooper's "Welcome to My Nightmare" (1975), the title track, in the demo.
I here people wanting the mk1 over the mk2
I have been a magazine subscriber for many years.
Hi!Thank you this introducing!I'm a male rapper with higher and thiner voice.I'm thinking about buying Akg OC18 or Sony C80.What do you think?
Sony C80 or the 414XLII. OC818 is creamier sounding mic without the clarity and sheen of these 2 others
@@ertatta Thanks, but already i bought a C80 last week, and i like it.The OC818 would be unnecessary for me. I was afraid of the 414XLII that it would be very metallic, and of course it is also expensive. I did not regret the Sony
Can you record separate tracks/channel directly to DAW with this?
The horns sound fantastic, but the drums maybe a bit too bright for my taste. Really nice review!
You must compare these ones with the Scepters.
HIGHLY impressive bit of kit! Not cheap, but a 'relatively cheap' way of adding analogue outboard.
Good song. Like to you, people.
Other darling where can I buy this song u r amazing an mics goodc2
You should be selling cars
…..and nowhere in the entire universe is the rail screw size detailed. Incredibly frustrating!
How are they comparing to Presonus Sceptre 6 is it an upgrade or downgrade ?
Any idea ??
@@GokulChandCreationthere is close to no reviews on the net after a year , not a good sign
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. It's a masterclass!
My dad said atc. And he was right.
If only this device could have been powered by 9 or 12 V - it could have been chained to most quality pedal power supplies... Those power adapters are fucking awful for most rack or studio applications.
the vintage is more sweet
Hello! I bought this card, but I noticed if I shake it a little, or turn my feet on my head, so that the sound sounds there, as if the shaker is not loud! This is fine? what could it be?
You need to press the button combination that triggers the cowbell.
@@TheOneMonk Thank you
Nice video. Exactly the information I was looking for. I'd recommend putting hashtags in the description though as I didn't find this video searching KZread for the Presonuse Eris Pro. Your video came up as a recommended video at the end of another one I watched so I clicked on it from there. Side note, I used to read recording magazine all the time back in the 90's. Cool to see its still around.
Grat video man! I don't actually need madi. Is it ufx 2 ok or It has a lower quality than ufx 3?
Well done review. Much appreciated.
biggest difference between mackie and the competition is build quality- my old Onyx 1620i firewire is built like a tank and is still producing great sound. Just picked up the Onyx16 to replace it.
Why not get a real singer?
why nobody compares the eris pro with the sceptre? why are sceptre discontinued since everybody likes them?
No dangerous D-box or whatever its name is for me !.
