There is no interference because the batter can run inside the first base line until the double lines. The only mistake here is the fielder turn the wrong way he always should turn glove side and make a throw

Actually smart to pop-up slide so he could find the play behind him which had a couple potential outcomes that could give him a shot at taking second. Not optimal in those situations to be ten feet past first listening for a base coach. If you’re a good baserunner, it’s always better to have eyes on the play. As for the call, I’d hate to be an ump on that one, I think it’s dead ball interference, batter’s out, runners return. Tough for a righty to get outside quickly but you have to try harder than he did.

That’s some of the most god awful base running I have ever seen. If he cleanly fields it your not making it to third, if he eats the play your not making it to third, if he bobbles and still throws to first your still not making it to 3rd because the throw is coming right back. The only instance where he may have gotten to third here is a throwing error and as a base runner you never rely on errors.

Fielder got to field the ball. Doesn’t look like any contact. Fielder did flinch out of the batter’s way. Vantage point mistake or vantage point legal. Blue’s call unless officials pow-wow and change the ruling. Sorry. Chicken-ass fielder “possibly” blew an easy interference call by the batter. Otherwise, batter is safe. My point of view. My opinion. Reply all you want. I’m not changing my mind. And that’s how to officiate. Keep your dickbeaters on your pistol and go on about the business for which you were hired Blue. Nothing else matters.

Looks like runner interference to me. You can definitely tell that he was aware and deliberately running inside the baseline. That's why he slid into first cause he couldn't over run the bag at that point. The umpire couldn't call interference since the first baseman never threw the ball to make a play. Had he thrown to first the umpire probably would have called the runner out.
