Don Rickles one of the best comedians in the center of the best all time stars. These are the days when people got along in America. It was a great time in life.

Heard for the first time when I was 10. Then lost from the ears. Now I'm 58 (!) and discovering him all over again - the whole Neil Diamond. Wow, what a rich repertoire, what depth in the lyrics, what faith, how much love in the songs! Thank you for all this, Neil! I am far from finished... 😘

When I was a kid watching him, I thought he was really drunk, so funny, Dean Martin is crying he has laughed so hard, great show.

Almost every gag that got a laugh here would never make it to broadcast in 2024. It's challenging to not find the jokes at Nipsey offensive, or the gags that essentially mark alcoholism and cheating on your wife as being almost appropriate, but once you take a step back and understand that these were very different times - NOBODY was "woke", and EVERYTHING was fair game, you realize that there was a sense of all being in it together and that if you could laugh at the stereotypes of Jewish people, African Americans, alcoholics, as a Jew or an African American or an alcoholic, then somehow it brought people of different races or religions together. We've gone waaaay to far in the other direction now - we're not allowed to find humour in anything nowadays or if we do, we run the risk of labeled anti-something or insensitive to the needs of one person or another. Respect to Ricky Gervais, Dave Chapelle, Frankie Boyle, and all other comics who are not afraid to laugh at life, as well as the differences and similarities in all of us.

Foster Brooks was the one guy Don Rickles didn't take a shot at during his speech at the end. He roasted everyone else but said Foster was delightful and immensly talented and left it at that. That's respect.
