So that's what happened to those sextuplets. Great cover of a favorite classic. Your voice works really well for this song. And the arrangement is ear candy.
Excellent lesson. 👏 👏 👏

Thanks very much Mark🙂.
Hey Peter, this was great thank you. It would be super helpful if you could add text or pictures to your videos when you explain the strumming pattern. It's hard to keep up/try and note it down while you're playing
Thanks Zoe - glad you liked it. In some of my newer videos I've used up and down arrows to illustrate the strumming pattern, and sometimes I've combined this with diagrams that show how the up and down strokes align to the beats in the bar. There is an example of this in this lesson for 'The Weight' (kzread.info/dash/bejne/m5aczLeJf7CbaNY.html). Anyway, if you fancy learning that song, let me know whether the diagrams help.

I particularly enjoyed down-stroking fanny. Then I picked up the guitar and learned the song. Thanks for a great lesson!

It's a wonderful song... ...and it's in the key of F I believe.

Thank you!
Awesome 👍
Thanks 🤗
Great version, well done,
Thank you very much 🙏.
Thank you for the lesson. Your guitar sounds very good. I have a question, what strings do you use and what microphone did you record it with?
Thank you very much. The strings are Martin Lifespan strings, although on most of my guitars I use Elixir Nanoweb strings, which I would recommend (although they are expensive). I used a Neumann TLM 102 mic on the guitar. It’s relatively affordable for a Neumann, and it sounds good on vocals as well as guitar.
@@PetersAcousticMusicChannelMartin 12-54 Phosphor Bronze?
@@wojtek300 Martin Authentic Acoustic LifeSpan Phosphor Bronze 13-56 - they are good strings. The guitar is an HD28 - it's 28 years old (I've had it for 22 years now). It has a few dings, but it's a very nice sounding guitar.

Cannot watch as the chord diagram looks odd and stretched side ways
Thanks for the feedback. I have noticed a number of comments about chord charts. I'd like to find a format that works for everybody, but I'm not sure whether it's just that there are different preferences in terms of size, layout, orientation etc. In any case, if anybody has an example of particularly good chord charts they can point me to, please let me know.
no....does not work.....way to busy...plus distracting to the subliminal beauty of the piece.....
It is a subliminally beautiful song - or at lest I think so.
Great performances.
Thank you 😊.
First comment lovely music I like subbed

Another great lesson Peter,Yeah the slap technique really does work with Dancing in the dark. Just one question, can the slap and your strum pattern be played with a pick. Keep up the great work Cheers.
Thanks very much Maurice. Glad they are working for you... ...and that is a great question... I think the answer is that the pattern itself could be played with a pick, although it would be more difficult, but I don't think you can build the slapping technique into the pattern with a pick. Now having said that, there could be a genius guitarist out there who could prove me wrong, but for me anyway, it is difficult to slap a bass string only with a pick whilst letting the others ring out, which is what you would have to do. However, there are some good percussive 'slaps' you can do with a pick - they are just different ones. There is a good example near the start of Van Morrison's "Into The Mystic". I've posted a KZread short about this , as I thought people might be interested. It is at kzread.info8vMyhl3_pOM?feature=share. Thanks again for the question Maurice, and keep up your guitar playing :-)
Great cover

Okay! Congrats, after 10 years of guitar lessons, I tjink your way of practicing works perfectly. 💪
Thank you very much. Keep strumming!
Super lesson i like the way you teach.very cool keep going. From Switzerland
Thanks! 😃
Good Tut but PLEASE rotate your chords. That is so hard to read and not normal. Rotate the chord diagram one turn clockwise so my brain doesn't explode trying to read. Took me much more time for my brain to process. 99% of the time, chord diagrams are not rotated this way
Thanks for the feedback about the chord charts. The next couple of lessons are already edited, but I will take a look at the orientation of the charts for future lessons.

Nice lesson The flatpicking works good if you want to play the guns n' roses version I think. What I find though instead of hammering on on the chords is on the a minor I find if you just drop your pinky finger on to this low E string 3rd fret and also on the chord to turn around the chords it works really good that way too before the chorus
Thanks Kev - great suggestion 🙂.
!Excelente interpretación! !Felicidades!
Thank you very much :-)
