Just wondering how much would this masterpiece of a collection would cost
It's a good question, and I don't know the answer. Mine was assembled over many years and through many different markets… Hard to know what it would all cost in today's price.

In the condition I have, probably between those two, closer to the upper bound. It's much easier to find nm uncommons than it was a couple years ago, and those prices are down. But many rares at nm are holding their prices.

Hey, i can recommend Gemloader from The Netherlands. They have great Toploader Binders. Keep up the great content, im just starting to start collecting vintage magic. Do you have a recommendation where to start on a budget? All those early sets are so beautiful!
The comp for CE/ICE, in total, is Unlimited rares not Revised cards. If the market wants to value Unlimited rares more than a CE/ICE card because of the square corners and questionable legality of CE/ICE cards then fine that makes sense, but the print run of a CE card is roughly two-thirds of the print run of an Unlimited rare and the print run of ICE is roughly one-third. Take into account the increased attrition rate of CE/ICE due to being intentionally destroyed for re-use in re-backing cards plus the sensitive corners and the gold ink's tendency to flake and the discrepancy in surviving populations becomes even larger. CE/ICE remains the most overlooked segment of 90s MTG.
Fair points! Of course supply and demand are both relevant, not supply alone. I have doubts about the demand increasing substantially in the short or medium term 🧐

It's going to be funny if all this modern Assassin's Creed, Doctor Who, Fallout rubbish ends up leading people to the old cards. 😅 Not sure if that would make Wizard's geniuses or if it's more like the blind chicken finding the corn. I'd keep the Shivan slabbed at that grade but I know you prefer raw so whatever suits you. No idea on the two cards at the end, they both look the same to me. 😂

No bar code is Alpha. Beta had bar code. Unlimited had the bar code on a white background. As to the votes: Crack the Shivan. A. But they are close. Liked the video. Who says I'm in front of an LCD panel?
Don't tell me it's a cathode ray tube? Surely we don't like our TVs as old as our cardboard??
@@AlphaHoarder Actually was on an LED display -- laptop. (Ok, splitting hairs here -- there are those that consider them the same thing, and I've seen it said all LEDs are LCDs but not vice versa). Now my desktop is LCD, but I wasn't on that when replying. I still have some vintage CRT displays, but I hardly ever use them these days.

I checked it out, I do have something similar that I put my duplicate rares in, but these are nicer. I'm also fascinated by the slab pages… What a cool idea! I'm probably going to grab some and see how they look in person.

Grading cards is a scam. Subjective to human error.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm not sure I'd call it an outright scam, but when you start getting into the premiums of 10 over 9.5… It has very little to do with the actual card.

Srtill hoarding Wall of woods. Alphas have fallen through the floor and loads on the market, so easy to pick up for cheap. But ICE have ramped up in price and very few to be had. The quest continues

Don't crack the Shivan unless you plan on playing it. The new Badlands is nicer. The old had a minor surface ding and very minor scratch on one of the left side corners I believe

I came across a video of a collection that is stored in Card Saver 1s put into binder using post card pages. Looked pretty slick and less bulky. Probably like a 3rd the size of your top loader binder.

A is better. Colors are far more saturated. B almost looks washed out from sunbleaching. Otherwise corners and centering seemed mostly equal.

Dude. If I had $787,000,112.00 my collection would look like yours ;) hahah. I sold my ABU collection for about $1500 in 1999 shortly before I got married. Hindsight, but also - I made good money from it for the time and no regrets. Super impressive collection.

@@AlphaHoarder I had a loved Unlimited 9 set, played with it with just basic penny sleeves. An almost full Arabian set (my all-time love) and the keys from most of the earlier expansions that I needed for lgs tourneys, etc. At one point I had a playset of dual lands. I remember at one of my local tourneys, I won a $225 beta starter deck and the two rares were Alpha - a Jet and a Copy Artifact (I think - I was just stoked about the Jet. But I couldn't play with it back then (not tourney legal for the corners) so I traded it for a bunch of Urza's rares hahah. I was opening cases of Urza's block at that point before I sold everything. $72 a box. Crazy.
I vote yes crack, and I like your original copy of the badlands (a), the bottom left edge still looks clean on b but in slightly worse shape

I've seen both for sure, but good question about which is more common. I'll have to pull a few out and see 🧐
Glad I'm not the only one conflicted by the binder choices on the market. I've considered contracting someone to make something of my own design and fix the problem, but I also can't decide if I'm just being over the top about the whole thing.

I vote to crack that Dragon open. Though, disclaimer, I would say that about any slabbed card (except maybe a BGS black label 10). I like copy A of Badlands more (no good reason other than I prefer its shade of brown). Great to see you upload! It’s been a while.
A, also crack S.Dragon if its an upgrade. I also notices the endless stream from Kid Icarus. He auctioned a Blue Hurricane Summer Magic (Edgar) a few weeks ago and so did Vintage Magic, and another seller on eBay. That's 3 sold Blue Hurricane within the last 30 days.

Sounds like the book is in the starter pack. If so, the story on the 1st page will tell you if it's Alpha or Beta. Any post by you has been worth my time, collection, ranting, etc. So post away!
