I've had an Avata 2 for around 3 months now. Its been a pretty good trainer. But I will not trust the DJI controller to fly something like a Nazghul. Especially after seeing how suddely you can lose signal when flying fast. You have a chance at recovering your video signal if things get spotty on an ELRS or crossfire controller. But DJI controller signal flops right along with video signal, with little to no chance of recovering.

  • @Roman.the.explorer

True that's why I have gps with return to home in case I lose signal. Have fun with the Avata, seams like a fun drone!

Do you think that sleeping in my model 3 might be putting my health at risk? I removed the back seat bench. Now that I've seen that orange high voltage connector right under the seat, I'm second guessing putting down the backseats and sleeping in the car usually right on top of that high voltage connector. I'm curious to hear what you guys think about it. I appreciate your comments. Thanks

Hi. Is it required to use V-mount batteries on this plate? Is there any battery adapter for dj rs2 battery, because I would have to buy two additional batteries that I would use only for this purpose and it doesn't sound good.

It's connected via d-tap. So if you can figure out d-tap to DJI rs2 it will work, but I haven't heard of such a solution. Also 1 v mount is enough

I just got my new Tesla Model 3 (Highland) and learning how to camp out of my vehicle is super helpful! Thank you for making this video. Also, just a note, be careful leaving food in your car in bear territory...bears have a very heightened sense of smell and they will rip a car apart to get to food. You can buy a "bear bag" that you put your food in and hang from a tree limb.

Good video - I came from a C100 M2 so obviously a big improvement on many levels. Can't live without built in ND's! Because I came from super 35 sensor I wasn't expecting it to be a low-light champ but still respectable. I was already prepared for the crop factor. Decent autofocus with the firmware update. I personally don't like the build quality and the screen deserves the criticism it gets because it's critical to the camera. Most cine cams don't come with a EVF now, but I REALLY wish Canon at least had a option of a EVF - very hard to use outside. I'm currently using a DIY EVF that I made around a Portakeys monitor. The camera has met my expectation and for my documentary work it's great overall- good battery life too.

Hi Roman ! I have the same rig, I just use my phone for the monitor which is not great, I also have the new suspension head, the old one sucked. I still get some micro vibration, the raw footage you took looked amazing ! Do you have any specific settings for your RS2 or the IBIS on your camera ? I still use steady shot on my A7Siii when it’s on the car. Not sure if I should turn it off or not, I don’t suppose you could let me know what sort of settings your using roughly ? Great video ! I’ve had my tilta for almost 1 year now !

Thanks for the comment, that's awesome! I've upgraded to wireless video now and man it's a game changer! I did get some micro vibrations as well, but i picked the best shot for this video. I also used C70 without IS in camera stabilization and I have balanced the RS2 on the ground first, then calibrated to "super smooth" and thats it! If you do get micro vibrations 2% warp stabilizer fixes it in Premiere or Davinci.
