    @theneighborhooddoc20 күн бұрын

    Hi there, thank you for your comment. Shiny, white skin on the shin and continuous pulse sensations could be concerning and warrant further evaluation. It's good that you're aware of your high blood pressure, but these symptoms could indicate underlying issues with blood flow or nerve function. I recommend discussing these symptoms with your healthcare provider as soon as possible to rule out conditions like peripheral artery disease (PAD) or other vascular or neurological issues. Stay proactive about your health!

    Is PAD permanent? Or can you reverse it?

  • @theneighborhooddoc
    @theneighborhooddoc20 күн бұрын

    Great question! There is no cure for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) it can be managed and its progression slowed, but it often requires a combination of lifestyle changes, medications, and sometimes medical procedures. Quitting smoking, eating a heart-healthy diet, exercising regularly, and managing conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure can significantly improve symptoms and overall vascular health. It's crucial to work with your healthcare provider to develop a personalized plan. Remember, early intervention can make a big difference!

    Hi there! Vyvanse and other stimulants can indeed cause stress on the body, which might contribute to hair loss. Stress, whether from medications or other sources, can impact hair growth. It’s important to discuss this with your prescribing doctor to explore potential solutions or adjustments to your treatment plan. Taking steps to manage stress and ensuring you're maintaining a balanced diet can also help support overall hair health. Thanks for sharing your experience, and I hope you find a good path forward!

    Thank you for reaching out. Radiation therapy can indeed damage the salivary glands, leading to dry mouth. Pineapple juice contains bromelain, which may help stimulate saliva production, but it might not fully restore the damaged glands. It's important to stay hydrated and discuss additional treatments with your healthcare provider. There are other strategies and medications that might also help. Wishing you the best on your recovery journey.

    is it possible to regrow the lost hair? what if we used dermarolling and minoxadil?

  • @theneighborhooddoc
    @theneighborhooddoc20 күн бұрын

    Hi there! Regrowing lost hair on the legs can be challenging, but it's not impossible. Dermarolling combined with minoxidil can sometimes stimulate hair growth. Dermarolling creates tiny punctures in the skin, which can help increase blood flow and enhance the absorption of minoxidil. Minoxidil, a topical treatment, can stimulate hair follicles. However, results can vary, and it's best to consult with a dermatologist to determine the most effective treatment plan for you. Keep in mind that patience and consistency are key. Good luck!

    Typically, you can drink pineapple juice throughout the day whenever you feel your mouth is dry. Start with small amounts and see how your body responds. It's best to spread consumption evenly rather than having large quantities at once. If you have any medical conditions or concerns, consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice. Hope this helps! 🍍💧

    I’m 55 and am losing the hair on my lower legs. I’m trying to pay attention but everything comes up no. My last three A1c’s were 5.1. I’ve been told no to PAD by three different doctors. I have strong pluses in my feet,my toe nails grow crazy and my feet are never cold; they’re actually hot and sweaty. I did blood tests to check vitamin levels and thyroid. They’re all good. Who knows….

  • @theneighborhooddoc
    @theneighborhooddoc20 күн бұрын

    Hi there! I understand how frustrating it can be to seek answers and not find a clear cause. It's good to hear your A1c levels, circulation, and vitamin levels are all normal. Hair loss on the lower legs can sometimes be due to less common factors like skin conditions, hormonal changes, or even certain medications. If you haven't already, consider consulting a dermatologist for a thorough skin evaluation. They might be able to provide more insights. Stay persistent and proactive with your health!

  • @theneighborhooddoc
    @theneighborhooddoc20 күн бұрын

    Hi! I'm sorry to hear about your hair loss. If your CBC and basic tests are normal, it could be helpful to explore other potential causes. You might want to get a thyroid function test, check your iron levels, and evaluate your hormone levels, including testosterone and cortisol. Sometimes, nutritional deficiencies (like zinc or vitamin D) can also contribute to hair loss. Consulting with a dermatologist or an endocrinologist can provide more specialized insight and guide you on the next steps. Take care!

    I'm truly sorry to hear that you're dealing with concerns related to pancreatic cancer. However, it's essential to emphasize that recovering from pancreatic cancer is a complex process that requires personalized medical attention. I cannot provide medical advice or an address through this platform. If you or someone you know is facing a potential diagnosis or is already dealing with pancreatic cancer, the best course of action is to consult with a healthcare professional, preferably an oncologist or a pancreatic specialist. Cancer treatment often involves a multidisciplinary approach, including surgery, chemotherapy, and sometimes radiation therapy. Emotional support is also crucial during this challenging time, and many healthcare centers have resources to assist with that aspect of care. I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing, and I understand the urgency of your situation. It's crucial to prioritize your health, especially with the concerning symptoms you've described. If you're struggling to get the help you need in your area, consider taking the following steps: Seek Another Opinion: If your current doctors aren't addressing your concerns, consider seeking a second or even third opinion from different healthcare professionals. Sometimes, a fresh perspective can bring new insights. Visit a Specialist: Given the complexity of your symptoms, consulting with a specialist such as a gastroenterologist can provide a more targeted and in-depth evaluation. They specialize in digestive system issues, including those related to the colon. Visit a Larger Healthcare Facility: If possible, consider visiting a larger healthcare facility or a medical center in a nearby city. These facilities often have a broader range of specialists and advanced diagnostic tools. Telemedicine Consultation: Explore telemedicine options where you can consult with healthcare professionals remotely. This can be a practical solution, especially if local access is limited. Patient Advocacy Groups: Reach out to patient advocacy groups related to gastrointestinal health. They might provide guidance, resources, or even assistance in finding appropriate medical care. Emergency Room Visit: If your symptoms are severe or worsening, consider visiting the emergency room. While not ideal for ongoing care, it can provide immediate attention and might lead to further investigations. Community Health Clinics: Check if there are community health clinics in your area. They sometimes offer services on a sliding fee scale, making healthcare more accessible. Remember, your health is of the utmost importance, and persistence in seeking the right care is crucial. I strongly encourage you to keep advocating for yourself and explore different avenues until you find the help you need. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a challenging situation. It's commendable that you're actively pursuing further investigations, particularly with an MRI/MRCP, given your history of IPMNs. Your proactive approach to your health is crucial in understanding and managing these complex situations. It's understandable that the uncertainty and potential worrisome changes can be emotionally taxing. Remember, you're not alone in this journey, and your healthcare team is there to provide support and guidance. If you have specific concerns or questions about your situation, discussing them openly with your healthcare provider can offer valuable insights and help tailor a plan that addresses your needs. Wishing you the very best on your diagnostic journey and, ultimately, in your overall health and well-being.

    Hello! I'm not a dermatologist, but I can offer some general insights. Hair loss on the head and legs can have various causes, from genetics and hormonal changes to nutritional deficiencies or stress. For scalp hair loss, it's essential to consider factors like family history, diet, and any recent stressors. Leg hair loss might be due to issues like circulation problems or skin conditions. If you're concerned, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional or a dermatologist. They can provide personalized advice after evaluating your medical history and conducting necessary tests. Remember, seeking professional guidance is crucial for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Take care!
