Man I’m tempted to try it myself but I never messed with a clutch before.

I know this video is a few months old but do you need to realign your clutch’s after pulling them

Your clutches are balanced and putting them back together wrong would possibly unbalance it. I don’t know what bad would happen but it’s best to keep them balanced.

Balancing and alignment are two different things as commented below. You should not need to align your clutches as long as you put them back as you took them off. I mentioned in the video you may have washers behind your secondary that you want to keep the exact same order for alignment purposes.

Good video man! I’m currently putting together my secondary and can’t get the sheave to stay centered as I tighten it down to the helix/spring. Any tips for me? I am using a compression tool from EPI

Thank! Not really sure on any tips just trial and error I guess. Try to keep lined up the best you can while compressing. Good luck! You’ll get her!

Hi, I upgraded the clutch like you, with a brown damper, the only thing I'm interested in is which one has a better effect on the belt, brown or black damper. Now the belt should have a longer life.

The lower engagement spring (black) would have better wear and tear results on the belt. However, i have had little to no trouble with thousands of miles on the OE Polaris belts.

hey man youre the first person who i have seen take apart this new style of clutch. I have the exact same setup and every video out there is for the old clutches. My only question is if the helix is charged meaning do you have to do a half a turn on it before you put the other side screw it down or it just spring loaded

No I believe you don’t have to do that like the old style…. I did that on my older one (which I showed in the video and I know exactly what your taking about.) I just compressed it normally and had good results. Hope that helps.
