I've been listening to your amazing style for a few years. I live in Kuwait and would love to catch a show. Do you have a website or a show schedule? Maybe I could catch a show in Istanbul, totally worth the flight. I usually travel to Bursa, if you ever play there. Cheers!

Thank you john ❤ one thing to add to your comment kindly. I am playing more than 80 concerts every year with several projects. Also released many albums with international musicians. Compose film scores and songs for artists. The numbers are not the only important thing to look succesfull ! The quality of the listeners is the real deal. I can show you million fallowed guitar players who never played on stage but popular on youtube. I prefer a musician life lived on stage looking at my audiences eyes rather than playing in my bedroom but getting 1M likes. Hope to meet with you in person and share the same air in one of my shows...Cheers and big hugs 🙏

Wonderful playing man. I always wondered with fretless guitars... is the sustain any good? Also, do you use flat wound strings? I'm thinking of converting a neck on my guitar to fretless... But It seems really daunting. Cheers

Point by point as someone who has just finished converting both a fretless bass and fretless guitar: No, the sustain gets notably worse as you ascend to the higher register and the strings don't have as much mass to keep them moving. That being said, it's still delightful and there are ways to offset the sustain issue such as playing with an eBow or some other kind of sustainer, or using delay and overdrive effects to bulk up the sound. Flatwounds are usually the string of choice for fretless bass, but I've found it's less of an issue with the guitar strings since they're already pretty smooth compared to a chunky roundwound bass E. Last, I say just go for it. The process really isn't as hard as it seems so long as you're patient and careful. I will say that it's obviously going to be a much easier process on something like a rosewood or ebony board than on maple or something like that which is likely coated. There are a few decent tutorials, but it's not nearly as daunting as you're imagining. Bon chance!

Hello to all. ABout the sustain if you correct the angle of the neck then you will get more sustain. This guitar that I am using has a crazy sustain and playibility .But for the hight registrs you need to learn how to use your nail with your fingertip at the same time . Then you can play better for sure

How do you get so much sustain on the higher strings? What gauge are your strings? I just received a fretless guitar that was built for me specially by a guy in Istanbul but there is virtually no clarity or sustain on the three higher strings. What material is the neck? Really awesome playing by the way! I found you when I researched fretless guitar. I love your playing 😊🙏🏼

Hello, Thank you for your time to listen first of all. I am using 010 gauge strings. Its about the technique actually. When you play the high registers you need to use your nails as well. Try to put your nail at the same time with your finger tip. Of course the sustain will react differently according to the guitar. This guitar is made by one of the best maker in the world Stephen Marchione. Please try the nail 🙂

@@studioundo Thanks! I had already tried that but it’s good to get your confirmation! Do you find it ‘eats’ the nail? Do you strengthen them?

After a whole show yes ! the string makes little deformations but you can file it and its gone. Try to use a little longer then as usual

Cenk - love your work! Did you ever think about using one of those spider capos where you can raise and lower the little aperture so that you have all sorts of variations on the length of the strings? I think it would sound really cool with the fretless…
