Dave never did figure out how to do that Pro-Tools guitar effect live on the solo like he said he would. 😠

I've been looking for this footage for over a decade! Used to DVR Dave every night back in the day. Never heard of this band, but I caught this performance. I was blown away. Couldn't delete the episode. kept playing it every morning for like a week as I got dressed.

Saw Rank & File on ACL & within minutes I knew it was my kinda sound. The guitar work, the harmonies, the cowpunk theme, all of it just grabbed me. Next thing I knew, my then-GF gifted me the Sundown album & I loved every track on it, almost wore it out in fact. Then, during my next move, it got stuck away in a box until a few years ago, I pulled it out & listened again, and omgosh, it just seemed to have gotten better with time. The Kinman brothers, along with so many others (Everlys, Allmans, Caldwells, Cowsills, Van Zants, Farisses, Fogertys, Wilsons, Gibbs, Finns, et al) have such great blood harmonies, they're just awesome to listen to for hours on end!

I found SD from the radio in the late 70’s. Then I bought the album Can’t Buy a Thrill. I have all the cd’s and I enjoy all of them including all the Fagan solo ones. Just magical. Two Against Nature is in my mini cooper cd player.

Legendary record by Garland Jeffreys, and like you said over 40 years in the biz and there is no lost in quality, that's absolute amazing. Why-O is my favorite on this one, a song about segregation in public schools also with a great music video.

In 1973 I had journeyed from Jersey to Lawrence, Ks, of all places. My roommate used to play Poco constantly. I was not too fond of the band. Fast forward to all these years later and I absolutely love them! Go figue
