Helene Magisson is an award winning illustrator. She started her artistic career as a painting restorer in Paris, where she was also trained in the art of medieval illumination. She has collaborated with major Australian publishers.

The blue also goes with the yellow swirl in the middle and the whole image is, I'd say extremely well tied together. Congratulations.

Was gesso used for the gilding or miniatum? It looked far too light for instacoll.

Thank you for asking. For this one, I have used PVA glue that I have slightly tinted and diluted with water. Hope that helps.
